Girgensons!!!

I still can't get over how much ice time Zadorov and Risto had last night. And still managed to make it out of the game with + ratings in a game the team allowed 6 goals.

I didn't see any of the Sabres game last night. Between the Bills game and picking someone up from the airport, just didn't have time.

Re read the articles/comment section from that time.

Moulson at 25, Reinhart at 15....my fav of course is Michael's prediction of Gionta at 18

It's not even about picking on this player or that player. You have a group of players who have had good scoring seasons before, but not consistently, and no real elite talent to play around. Combine that with a coach that's never really had any sort of offensive track record, and it just never made any sense.

Nolan's giving them powerplay time now as well i think

They each had 1:07 yesterday. No PK time though.

I didn't either. I made cookies for work and watched the Bills game. I just happened to notice when I looked at the box score how much time Risto and Zads had.

The question I had asked during the summer, which still remains unanswered is: who the hell is/was going to score goals for them?
- buffalofan19

The answer is nobody...the projected goal scores are in Roch, Juniors, and College.
We add to that with 6 of the top 55 or so picks in June 2015 ... Which can't come fast enough for multiple reasons.

Orton is showing that he's a typical backup-caliber quarterback. He can win you 3 or 4 games out of the gate, but can't seem to sustain that type of pace throughout an entire season. The short version is this: Orton is mediocre. Manuel is worse. They need much better from the position.

At least he has the skill set to eventually be better. 14 games isn't definitive for me

Tannehill was at risk of being benched this year after playing over 30 career games. Some just take longer.

At this point I want to see if he can turn any type of corner

Might as well. The idea of starting Orton was to save the season and hopefully make the playoffs. That's not going to happen anymore. The problem is, if you go back to him at this point, as a coach, you've essentially resigned your position.

This is a decision Pegula and Whaley should make. Marrone won't do it.

They absolutely cannot go into next season with Fitz....I mean Orton as the starter

Youre right, i will say i originally thought orton was the better option. The thing is, now that our season essentially is done i see no harm in getting manuel playing time to develop him more. Hopefully by seasons end theres some signs of progression.

I do believe it is now prudent to go back to Manuel as well...now that they are 5-5 and looking like they will go closer to 6-10 or 7-9 then even staying at .500.
That said, I don't think I can stomach watching more of what he was delivering earlier this season. If he doesn't show as least some signs of learnings...then maybe the Bills should just put Fred, Dixon and Browne in and run the wishbone.
