never saw Felix or Oscar kill a penalty or play sound positionally

they rarely took a penalty though so there is that

- Marc D

So they do have something in common with Vinny Lugosi and Zombieberger.

Didn't listen to his Stern appearance but Bernie is fond of telling a story about how did not get circumcised until he was 30 years old. After the procedure, he would show "the new me" to reporters, teammates, and um, new acquaintances upon the asking. Just one of many, many, many semi-printable and unprintable Bernie stories from over the years along with the many, many, many family-friendly ones.

One of the family-friendly ones: When he was a kid, Bernie was fond of soaking cotton with vinegar and then consuming it. Took years for him to break that habit.

Ok, blows my "putting glue on my hand, waiting for it to dry and eating the peels" out of the water....or does it?

Yes. Eventually broke the habit and now finds the thought repulsive.

On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence; that request came from his wife.

I've met and seen professional athletes here and there and no one was nicer than Bernie Parent.

Some rumours out there that the Aves are really looking to shake things up. Anyone over there you guys would like to pluck if they are desperate to make a move?

A bit off topic here....but did anyone get a chance to listen to Stern the other day when Bernie was on? I didn't know that Bernie was such a ladies man...from his own mouth, he said that he had a big Richard and he slept with 5 ladies at once.

I didn't know this, but Bernie had a serious case of "man-boobitus". He recently saw a well known plastic surgeon to rid himself of the "extra weight".

I'll tell ya one thing though...I can only take his accent in small doses. Ughhh

they have a ton of great young talent, but i feel as though all of those guys would be part of the long term solution.

Defense seems to be their big sore spot. I doubt they would be willing to part with any of their top 6 unless it was something coming back. They have a couple solid D prospects that aren't too far away from the NHL if they are serious about getting help for the short term.

I'm thinking someone from their farm system that's not quite ready. They have a couple right handed defense prospects (Elliot and Wood) that could turn out to be solid players and might not be hard to pry from them.

in the flyers vs aves game I thought the goaltending was the biggest difference maker

yeah. im not too too familiar with their prospect system outside of the guys that are already up.

i imagine theyd want defense. they could benefit from a good mobile puck mover or solid 2 way guy.

Nope.

Don't want Richards' fat ass contract coming back the other way.
