That's a shame and also means that CBJ would have to do the Pronger Dance until 2020

Yeah. I doubt he retires and forfeits all that money. The NHL will make an adjustment once it happens to one of the franchises they like

It's not like it's really a hockey related injury either and he had no history of back problems before hand.

Are we still trying to trade VLC, Umberger and Rinaldo for Mike Richards this morning?

They might have the contract insured. If so, the insurance could pay Horton and allow the Jackets to free up the room.

Yeah it just kinda happens. My doctor told me that playing sports so frequently probably exacerbated things. I played basketball so all the jumping put a lot of pressure on my lower back.

It really sucks for him though. Seems like he has what I only get during flare ups. You're basically bedridden until it goes away.

It never stopped Richards before.

Wouldn't Lecavalier's numbers grow if he were healthy and playing more?

While we're on the topic of age, Lecavalier is older. Being what? 35? Being a declining player is almost expected. Richards should still be more productive at age...? What? 29??

Richards does not have nearly the amount of skill Lecavalier has/had. Period. Vinny has 400 career goals and likely headed to the HOF. Richards...... dont think so.....
