Sure it made sense. Lecavalier was moved to the 4th line because of an injury. It didn't make Lecavalier a 4th line player. It's an outlier. 4th line players normally don't have the skill set to play on the PP.

Even a bad team can have some good players. But I understand your point. But what he is basically saying is that even if Richards was a 4th line player on the Kings, which is he isn't. If the quality of the roster should be taken into account for where a player plays on a bad team. Shouldn't it also be taken into account for where a player plays on a top team? And on a team that has won the Cup twice in the last 3 seasons?

His comment made no sense. VL played on the 4th line and PP last year. Raffl has spent a lot of time on the top line and rarely gets any PP time. There is no one who would take VL over Raffl. Well, no competent hockey person.
