It's always like that in November.....before a bunch of teams start losing 10 and 12 games in a row.....the good news is I don't think we're going to be one of those teams this year.....finally..... - dcb1

I see EK has the Habs and Isles as in on E. Kane. - ses111
This is one time I hope he is right.. although he never is right. E. Kane is the EXACT type of player you want on this team come playoffs. |

Garth Snow on Ho-sang.. "They sht on me too. He'll fit right in... " The perception is Us against the world in that locker room and I think it helps gel the team. - niteislander
Whatever keeps them motivated. I don't care if they all sit around and play Chutes and Ladders before a game as long as it keeps them winning |

This is my concern as well. I like what we have right now and don't really see the need to add Kane. I don't think the price would be reasonable. |

I agree. I'd like to see what it would take to add Ladd. |

I don't know where he would fit. Our LW is pretty jammed up as it is. Unless we're moving Bailey in part of a deal for him.
I think it's a stretch to think they'd trade their captain, also. |

I would think Bailey would be part of a deal. I have to agree with the Jets not wanting to move their captain. I worry about the pieces needed for Kane and the talk of his bad attitude. |

I think, most of the time, rumors/"talk" of certain thing gets way overblown. I don't doubt that, at times, there we some issues. But Ho-Sang has "issues" also and we know that those are greatly exaggerated also. I don't doubt that the price for Kane would be high though.
Also, at the moment, WPG is in a playoff spot. No, I don't think that will last, but I doubt they're looking to move anyone right now. I think our roster is set for now. If we continue being successful then maybe Snow will add a piece or two at the deadline but until then I don't see him doing a whole lot. |

And frankly, assuming all are healthy of course, I don't even know what Snow would add at the deadline.
When Grabner is back we're going to have an extra forward. Personally, I think Martin is hot garbage and should sit but I don't see Cappy doing it.
We may end up selling off a guy for a mid-round draft pick at the deadline. I'd like to see them add a 7th defenseman that can actually play hockey, should one of our top 6 get banged up. ie: not be complacent with in-house dumpster-fire Brian Strait.
All of this is assuming we are in a playoff position, let me be clear that I am not guaranteeing we get there. But I am certainly optimistic, with good reason. |

I'm hoping there will not be a huge need to even add a lot. A better 7th dman would be nice. Unless Boychuck signs, I do not even want to think about moving a Reinhart or Pulock even if a big deal is available. |

I don't know really. I don't know any more that they are exaggerated then they're not. He is a bit of an extrovert which is fine but most were saying Kabanov's personality traits were exaggerated on here which we found out they obviously weren't. |

I'm not exactly following this.
I was just saying that the media sure loves to take a story line and run with it. Kane takes a picture during the lockout with a stack of money in Vegas and all the sudden he's the devil.
If I made that kind of money in my early 20's I'd be willing to be I did something a whole hell of a lot stupider than that with my money. |

It's those ot loss points too. Ottawa should be a below 500 team but thanks to those points they're only two back of us. Hate those points. Keeps everything way too close. - Isles_since_6

What I'm saying is this shat is not always exaggerated. Sometimes it is true. As far as the bold goes we all would. You just need to not get caught doing it. |

Yep. It also shows we are winning decisively which to me is a very good thing. Hopefully we bring this same play down south. Bailey and grabner back should help. Hopefully Capuano trims the right fat when that happens. |

Hmm.. Kane, Subban, Ho-Sang...I'm seeing a trend with these players that have perceived "bad attitudes".......... |
