Nice...Strome needed that. He's played good hockey so far this year.

I was happy about that, sure he was too . Would've liked to see him start that last pp and really get him going possibly. Fack being classy pad the stats.

Till he starts being Capuano again. All he is doing is exactly what everyone on here was saying to do with his line ups and defensive game. Common sense does work

I'm afraid they'll win a bunch and he'll get cocky and go back to his stupid ways.

Please don't even put the thought out in the universe. I think I'm comfortable saying tavares was probably the least effective player out there tonight. When he gets going(which he will) and if this team is playing like this watch out. Vis and pretty much the entire blue line were incredible. Boychuck has to be signed. Sooner the better... Oh, and the Avs were really bad.

I can't help it. Years of being an Islander fan have conditioned me. Whenever they do well I cringe waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Cocky is what you want like they had in the shorten season. They play hesitant hockey when they don't have confidence or cockiness.

I meant Cappy would get cocky and think his dumbass system will work. Then the Isles tank again.

Truly great seeing a complete game. Had scoring from many of our secondary players, defense was solid, halak was great once again. Happy to see him get another shutout. Was also very happy to see cizikas get his 1st of the year along with strome. Had a feeling strome would get his 1st tonight. Kid has been racking up assists, his minutes have gone up (which they should be) and once he gets his scoring touch he'll be another big weapon out there. Kulemin is a beast! Excellent maintaining the momentum from the win in arizona. And we are just 1 point behind pitt for 1st in the division. We can make it through this month, we'll be in great shape.

He better not. Don't fix what ain't broken. And whats working right now isn't broken. Hell, the current lines and defensive pairings are basically what we wanted.

I'm very disappointed in myself for not taking him in my fantasy draft this year. Mainly didn't pick him this year since he bombed for me last year, still i'm upset.

Just from watching him a few games this year, wow. This kid is slick. Shifty as hell and silky hands. He's gonna be a 40 goal, PPG player. So good.

One thing I will say, these high scoring games are much more fun to watch having seen us tighten up defensively. Just no more Strait please.

I have a funny feeling that the team really likes Caps as a coach. It seems like every time the hockey "experts" and Islanders "bloggers" start getting down on the coaching staff; the team ramps it up another level. As a true blue and orange Isles fan, please keep criticizing the coaches and fearing for the worst for the team; they seem to strive on your negativity.

Oh he's got big star potential for sure. He may have gone higher in his draft if not for the rumors he was considering playing in russia, which he stated he had no interest in playing there i think not long before the draft. But regardless of that, he is destined for greatness in the NHL. Without question the best offensive talent the blues have had in many years.

I never want to see that bum play another for the islanders. I haven't played hockey in years but I bet I could skate circles around that bum.

For some reason the emperor from star wars came to mind when I read that. I thought "Good, good. Let the hate flow through you". But yeah JUST WIN!!

I finally got to the old barn tonight.....although not until the end of the first period. What I saw for two periods was a team that aggressively killed penalties, forechecked in the neutral zone and at the defensive blueline, and stood in the shooting lanes. That's how you win 6-0- and their goalie stopped six more from going into the net. Nothing provides offense quite like aggressive defense.
