Its a pretty simple formula that works every time. Even a team like Winnipeg gave the Penguins fits.

Gonna be a 6-0 game and all the Fleury haters are going to come out in droves. Neverminding the fact that there were about 12 missed passes that were within the 5-7ft range, about 14 terrible giveaways in that period and Comeau's wonderful whiff on the 2-1.

We were due for an ass-kicking. You could sense it coming at the end of Min game, into the Wpg game. They coasted vs Buff. So this is kind of expected. 1 of 82.

But, you can see a pattern. When the opponent picks up the intensity, we do tend to wilt.

If Bortuzzo is replacing Martin on that pairing, Pens are better off keeping Martin. Brutal period for Erhoff and Bortuzzo on ice for all 3 goals against. Pens may have about 10 NHL defensemen, but most of them are 3rd pairing guys who need to play sheltered minutes, not take Martin's time against top lines as this game is showing.

4-0 and that goal they waived off should have counted.

They could go 70-10-2 and I still won't have confidence in this team come playoff time. When the going gets tough they flat out quit. Really need to answer the bell when they get challenged.
