The rangers were able to go to the scf despite nash not producing at all because of their depth last year. You guys simply arent as deep so if 87 or 71 get shut down, offense is really hard to come by and fleury is too inconsistent/fragile to win four 1-0 or 2-1 games in the playoffs.

Also, your best player is Lundqvist and he is rarely off his game.

ok, if this is the route we are going to go...Is Crosby going to pretend to have cancer like Mario did to rally the troops behind him?

(because you know, if we are going to say ridiculous things, we may as well just go for the most crazy)

Those ridiculous things (which I fully agree, is absolutely ridiculous) were beaten so heavily into our brains throughout the series it made me hope that the season would end so I didn't have to hear one more word about St. Louis mothers magical powers.

I am not saying this to be disrespectful towards the dead, I am saying this to be disrespectful to the morons that beat that magical, mystical, idiotic topic like a dead horse, abra-ca-dabra go get stomped by the Oilers and get out of our thread.

Indeed. The rangers came out flying after their worst weekend in recent history. Penguins just werent in sync. Bad recipe and it wasnt a true assessment of where these 2 team stand relative to each other. The next game should be more even and a better indicator of where these teams stand.

Exactly, we've been on a roll and coasted through buffalo, we weren't ready for this game at all. It'll be a better match up further down in the season for sure. Anytime we had the puck on a defenders stick one of the nyr forecheckers were already on the d causing turnovers. It was almost like watching someone play NHL 15 lol. It was like really bad player vs a really good one

Just law of averages, when you win 7 in a row or your goalie recently had 3 shutouts, you bet on the other team...in theory...not with real money...

eh, bound to happen sooner or later. Pens do need top 6 support. Yeah Dupes has 9 pts, but 1/2 came in the 1st game. That line isnt doing much even strength.

Ok man you're going to have the wrath of bri on your arm now... Dupes is a top 6 player.. He only deserves to play with sid and kuni.. that line was the top scoring line for 2 yrs!!!

Even tho that was 2-3 yrs ago

Whatevs, Why cant he be just as good with Geno, he's a generational talent!

BTW that was the top line 2 yrs ago during the lockout year. And I'm not a fan of keeping anything together that was great during the reg season but farted out in the playoffs.

Dupes is your support guy. Very smart on the ice, finds open areas, forechecks, backchecks, and can bury his opportunities. He doesn't have all the skill in the world, but he does have great hockey sense which allowed him to be effective with Sid and kuni. If the pens got a top 6 skilled winger for malkin, dupes would do the exact same thing he did before.
