What Bishop did was the safest thing he could do in that situation. It made sure that his knees were protected and kept any risk of blowing an acl or mcl. As a goalie, if I was good enough, that would be the move I would have made. Gets the legs free. Last thing you want in the guy falling on you with your legs pinned underneath you.

Yeah that was the worst non-call of the game IMO. There was absolutely nothing going on to trigger Crawford dumping TJ after the whistle, plus to make it even worse TJ wasn't even looking at Crawford.

I can understand not calling back the first goal since I believe it was Stralman who bumped the Hawk (maybe Versteeg), but it's a gray area as the bump wasn't a full-on shove and Versteeg made no attempt to avoid contact although timing wise I'm not sure he could have. Again, gray area so I can understand that not going our way. But the body slam was seemingly within a minute or so of the goal and contact so Bishop was protecting himself and his crease

Crawford's dump of TJ was nothing short of dirty after the whistle crap that had nothing to do with the game which is why the ref should have made the call IMO

And if payback is a cheap hit from a goalie that almost cracks his head on the ice or a cheap shot cross check to exposed ribs then that's not hockey and you should be ashamed

TJ hasn't been ruled out of tonight's game. He's supposed to be part of the morning skate and from there a decision will be made on his status. Good news is this all but rules out any kind of cracked ribs/long term injury type of deal as the "day to day" status in this case is accurate
