I have a crazy idea the difference will be more pronounced over time. It has to do with satisfaction: it's only natural to work hardest toward unrealized goals. If you already "know", for years, you're the best in your peer group, it's hard to think you have to work harder to bring the team success.

It's something that will be a long term personality trait in a kid whose already 18.

- Der Kaiser

Yea Crosby never works hard. Neither did Manning, Jordan, Rice etc.

They all just said. Eh good enough i don't want to work hard.

Does anyone know why Ryan Wilson a blogger for the Penguins on this site uses a sabres picture for his blog?

Just wondering cause it's slightly annoying when I click on the posts icon and I'm in the wrong blog.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but it's a Pens logo as his picture on the main page.

Would be interesting to see where you'r seeing this. The Bloggers link, front page, and Sabres/Penguins logos at the top of all pages are correct (he's not in the Sabres but is in the Pens).

You know who he is btw, right?

Yes it's very odd, I can't figure out how to post a picture from my I phone or I could show it.

I'm seeing it on the front page and it's been his image for me for a while and it's been pissing me off lol.

So hypothetical question if we get mcdavid what will the lines look like next year. Assuming all the kids are in the lineup, I think it looks something like this unless their are trades for more forwards.

Gigensons- mcdavid-moulson
Ennis- grigorneko- armia
Hodgson-reinhart- gionta
Larson-mccormick-Foligno

I know many don't like Stewart, but if the price is right I think he should come back. I think he can be productive while providing some muscle with the talent that is coming.

I'm okay with that. Maybe with more talent he'll produce. Except for Ennis, they're all underachieving.

Stewart is a wildly inconsistant player. Why would we want to re sign him? I think there is a large enough sample size you can draw from all the teams he has been with. hes been traded from(2 so far) including a stanley cup favorite team- st louis who decided they would be better off without him. these are the type of players the sabres always end up with. He is part of the problem

This roster needs to be filled also. A third line of

Foligno-Grigensons-Stewart is not terrible and would be a true grind it out line.

Not terrible...thats what we settle for

In 22 games with the sabres stewart has 2 points (1 goal 1 assist) is a minus 13 and has zero PP points.

Why are we constanly settling for these rejects?

we can do better

At this point, it all depends on price and term. If he's willing to take a 2 year deal on a lower end salary, go for it.

So Stewart for 2 years at $2-3MM per year you would not take it?

This team is going to be full of kids next year (Most likely), You cannot have these kids being pushed around with no backing. Stewart, Foligno.

McEichel, Grig, Armia, Reinhart could all be up. You are going to need some power forwards to protect these guys.

From Sabrenoise:

"In some general hockey news, the New York Post has reported that the NHL has picked the owners for a potential Las Vegas franchise.

The article from the Post cites a Las Vegas team as “likely” and tags the franchise fee as $400 million. Of course, there’s no specific timetable for the expansion, and new franchises would have to be approved, but it’s believed that two western US cities would be selected. Could Las Vegas be one?

And what about the other….. Seattle, perhaps?"

I dont see how signing stewart is at all productive for this team. We want to sign another slacker to be around these young guys? we have too many of those already
