They will be lucky be that this year. They became that quick tonight when UB started dismantling the best defense in the MAC tonight on ESPNU.

If asked, I will explain again, but as a contrarian I believe Eichel is the better prospect.

Dude I had tickets but I didn't go. It's one of those situations where I could have gotten somone to watch my kid but I didn't expect this game to be this good.

So is McDavids.

McDavid is also among the best skaters in a long, long time.

He skates as good as Crosby did when he came out

yeah if i was dying to go, i would have just went by myself and made some friends. i tried the 4 people that live here, including a girl i just met at meps and even a friend of a friend and they all turned it down due to other commitments, plus the game was at an odd day and time.

Alright will do, although this may have been a rare opportunity because they were gifted to me from a season ticket holder who couldnt go. Now that you mention it that may be the same case next week because of the time and day

Just a guess with them only having 5.247 in space.

The Sabres are going to need to eat some salary either in a take back or possibly retain a portion of Myers salary this year to make it work. I doubt they want to be right up against the cap.

It has to do with the timing of their "greatness".

McDavid has been identified as a generational talent for years, and the word "greatness" has surrounded him for a long time. He can't help but hear that. And when you hear it so often you tend to believe it.

Eichel on the other hand has only recently been classified as "great". And even now, he's not first on most draft lists.

I think that makes a mental difference. I think that it's more likely Eichel will work harder, a chip on the shoulder thing. And nobody is saying he's not great. So great, Plus more motivation, is more intriguing to me than sheer greatness.

VN's 925k count?

We would probably take Moen or Horcoff back

I know I've said it before but initially Eichel will look more the part IMO.

If it's Moen, it wouldn't surprise me if they eat some of Myers salary(this season only) and get either a b prospect or another pick along with VN.

I do think Myers is a good player. I'm of the opinion they feel Risto and/or Zads are going to be just as good if not better than Myers. Hence why they'll move him for the right deal.

I don't know....it looked like McDavid had a chip on his shoulder tonight.

If you ever listen to an interview of him, he's pretty down to earth for a superstar teenager. Talks a lot about rounding out his game and always mentions his teammates.

That being said, you can't go wrong with Eichel.

The issue is that it was rumored they needed to take back salary prior to the Gonchar deal. Which was part of the reason it hadn't happened. I doubt Horcoff is part of the deal.

I have a crazy idea the difference will be more pronounced over time. It has to do with satisfaction: it's only natural to work hardest toward unrealized goals. If you already "know", for years, you're the best in your peer group, it's hard to think you have to work harder to bring the team success.

It's something that will be a long term personality trait in a kid whose already 18.
