The tank is being executed flawlessly. By end of January they should be so far behind every other team that teheran will be guaranteed McEichel. Trade away several players and bring up a couple of youngin's.

Next 5 games should yield 1 - 2 points...giving them say 10 with 25% of the season played....projecting to 40sh points at seasons end...wow, that GMTM is genius!

So, recognizing that the current roster is filled with players who won't be here next season, which one are likely traded this year? Some others will be waived/released...let's think only about trades.

I say, Stafford, Stewart, Hodgson, Foligno. Not saying we will get anything back of import. But maybe a package deal to maximize prospect levels coming back...like Stewart and Foligno to a team that needs more grit...or Cody & Staff to a team that needs secondary / tirciary scoring (I know they ain't scoring now, but have shown the ability to in the past)

Good to see him dominating a league he's too good for in the early stages.

Chara was a nobody at Myers age . Was a throw in in a trade from the Islanders to Ottawa.

Final thoughts on this tank and the state of the Sabres...........

No matter how you look at it, it's not good for professional sports and their fans!

Go Bills!

OK, then to make you happy, we'll have a team that just misses the playoffs year after year, or gets booted out in the first round.

edit: and we can sign more Ville Leinos.

I look at it differently. In a salary cap era, there is no other way to turnover aPerennial also ran franchise.

Sorry to say you are wrong . Follow recent history in the NHL . The majority of successful cup winners , went through a rebuild like this one . So Like it or not there is a plan in place.

On a side note Eichel had 3 assists last night in a BU 4-3 victory.

Honestly though, what should they do in your opinion? We have a shot at a true franchise changing player

Good question. What exactly is his solution. We read what he doesn't want, but he never states what he does want.

Come on it happens in EVERY sport. Suck for Luck.... You really think the colts were the worst team in the league that year? Time to get the head out of the sand and take off the rose colored glasses folks it happens in every sport, every year. Some teams are just better at the rebuild than others. When the system is made the way it is there is no other way to get those kinds of players, unless you get LUCKY and find guys like Reed in the 4th round and Thomas in the 2nd round.

Look I don't like this either it's no fun watching your team be that bad, but I will stand by them and see where it goes, sorry but if I had to watch this kind of team win just enough games to finish say 8th worse, I would be very upset with the plan, At least there seems to be a plan, for the first time in MANY years.

Can't say I disagree with him though. Don't get me wrong I'm all aboard the tank for the franchise changing player but I wish the NHL wasn't structured such that the only way to get one is through complete misery.

You dont remember all his lunatic "improvements" before free agency started? He wanted to throw money at players like Callahan and Vanek and we'd be back in the playoffs.
