Not a fan of Simmonds on the left wing?

Or you want G and Jake on separate lines?

- Marc D

I thought the lineup showed VDV on the top line this morning

That's what they keep telling me.

I'm too deep in poop to flop now.

If Coburn is ready to go, it's likely he will go. I'd rather let him wait, they have 5 days until the next game, no need to rush him

I think its a little soon to say that. Depends on the high end of Stolartz and Leier. Time will tell
- nastyflyergirl

That's probably fair, although early returns favor Columbus. The Mason trade softened the blow somewhat. Without that trade, losing a Vezina winner for a couple of picks, would have been disastrous!

Is Columbus pissed about their trade of the 8th pick and Voracek now? Maybe we owed them hartnell.
- funmaster18

Yeah, could you imagine if Cooter keeps improving and jake becomes an All star which it looks like could happen? They end up with Jack Johnson and that's all.. yikes.. I think the Richards trade is the one that's up for debate as to whether we won it.. I really hope Schenn keeps progressing.. if he does, then we clearly win it with Simmonds.

Also, really hope that Ghost is ok and it's not that serious.

I like the Richards deal. For the length of that contract it was good to get out of imo.

He has seemed to slow down as a player, I think the style of play really caught up to him. Even in his final months as a Flyer.

I still think we win the Richards deal in the long term. Even without Schenn. Short term, kings definitely won.

Same here, hoping ghost is back out there haunting opponents quickly

If Simmonds is comfortable on the left, then I think we have our best top line in a couple years. Voracek is blossoming before our eyes. Every time he touches the puck, you think he can score or setup a goal.

I think It's one of those rare trades where both teams come out ok. I will say though, in retrospect, a Richards for Simmer swap probably would have been a fair trade in the end. Schenn just seems like a bonus at this point.

I haven't thought simmer has looked comfortable in general the last couple games even before being put on that top line.

But if that line starts clicking, I have high hopes for the 10-14-24 line. I think those could be a scary 1-2 punch for the Flyers for years to come.
