They were horrible last year and then lost Kesler I don't remember anyone predicting them to be this good
- sbroads24

Again that was all Torts and they were horrible with Kesler last year.

They gave the Twins a legit winger in Vbata.

It really isn't a surprise they're back in the playoff picture.

And like you said, it's early. They aren't a cup contender IMO.

Could be what got him in trouble if it is him.
- Maximum Signal

Possible . Specially if the police were involved and he was questioned .

I hate Miller . but those stats don't mean crap . They are secondary to win/loss.

Miller is killing it at the moment.

He leads the Sabres in career Wins...yet brought home what in the way of playoff success?

Wins don't mean poop either if they don't lead to postseason wins.

Miller had the same ole team in front of him since he started here. Just wasn't getting it done when it counted . New everything is seeming to work for him. Now as someone mentioned earlier. we have 7 players from 2/3? years ago. Thats a turn around of player personnel. Would it have worked for him? I don't think so. Maybe 2 years from now .

He lit it up in St Louis when he 1st got there too.

Not knocking the guy but Neuvirth thus far is putting up similar numbers as Miller did last year minus the wins. It too is also early.

But IMO like I said before, He can/will do what Miller was doing for this team. He is a very talented goalie and is the right age for the future.

He already is IMO.

3rd straight start.

Reminds me of a young Miller.

Lets hope the media doesn't hype him up like the latter.

Yeah I like Neuvirth too. He has a good style that isn't erratic and seems to see the play well enough to get in position to stop the puck.

"We had a player this week
- rmiethaner[who's] probably going to get suspended for a game for something that happened away from the ice ... He happened to be there when there was an incident happening."

-Tim Murray on WGR

I'm pretty sure this was said while they were talking about scouting prospects and figuring out their character. I have a feeling it is one of their prospects and not someone in the big club; if it was a player on the Sabres, wouldn't it already have been news? Hard for news like that to hide as professionals.

During the offseason. I said he might be the only thing that stands in the sabres and last place. I called it a sneaky trade when it happened.

All this goalie of the future talk and he may very well be playing for them tonight.

He put up solid numbers in Washington where the defense was lacking.

Nagging injuries will determine if he is our guy along with contract demands IMO.

This month will be a test . I bet Enroth goes on a tear once he plays. Good goalie competition. Nice to have .

I started paying attention after the 54 save victory last March. When he got "injured" and went out for the rest of the spring.

I like Nuevirth too, and have agreed he will have a future here, but he has to prove a lot more to be in Millers class

Was surprised that he is making 2.5. Thought it was around Enroths cap. 1.5 ?

I liked the move when it happened.

He's a younger version of Miller IMO. Which isn't a bad thing as long as they don't hype him up to be elite. He could settle into that same 10-20 range and thats all you need from the goalie to win a cup.

What has Miller done to be put on this imaginary pedestal?

He's been a bonafide starter for a decade? With a Vezina, Olympic MVP and on the all-time wins list.

I'm not gonna go round and round about him but Nuevirth hasn't done a thing in the NHL yet. The test will be when we are actually playing for something
