I do get it, I think there should have been a fine and a file made in case this becomes a repeat incident; I feel that would be perfectly in line with what the NHL is trying to do for player safety in this case.

In this exact instance I think it is hard to ask for a suspension only because it looked like Zadorov saw the hit coming and turned around. If they suspend a player in that instance then everyone is going to start turning around to draw penalties and suspensions.

I also will openly say that if the roles were reversed and Sekac was plowed into the boards I would see it as suspension worthy, too. At this point the whole thing is a moot point and it would be best to just move on and hope Zadorov has no lingering issue and the Sekac learns to attack that play differently.

Zad is a big boy . He did not even miss a shift . Nothing to see . Just the over reaction from others teams fans cracks me up . It should have been 2 for boarding .

On the plus side: good learning experience for the "big boy". He'll learn that you can get away with that in Juniors, but not in the NHL.

It was not Zadorov's fault. If it was his fault than it was Brodin's fault too. Those types of hits can't be made.

Kreider had about 2-3 good seconds to let up, Sekac had NONE as Zadorov really did turn at the very last possible moment. People seem to think that each and every hit are the same. This was a clear case of a player finishing his check but ended badly for the guy on the receiving end.

Sekac saw Zadorovs numbers at the last possible moment. The forechecker will hit, the defender will take a hit to make a play.
