Why? That line did well in possession against Edmonton.

In contrast BSchenn and Vinny were together for just over two minutes and somehow allowed 7 shot attempts.

Because I think Umby should really play on the 4th line. He washed up.

Umberger adds a defensive presence to that line.
- MJL

Umberger and presence dont add up

BUT. completely negates any offense from happening too. Umberger-Couts-Read has been fine and they are doing well defensively. I'd rather just keep it that way. The Flyers need Vinny and Simmonds scoring regularly or at least creating chances.
- GOA88

I disagree that it completely negates any offense from happening. Both Umberger and Read have been struggling offensively. That's why it's a good idea to break them up.

Well if he doesn't start adding some offense to his game, maybe down the road that will be an option. But right now, too soon.

Was he saying, "Your name is not Nutter, poser," or "Your name is not 'Nutter poser?'"

Both are accurate

Yes. The Sabres

Exactly.

I think what happens sometimes is we want to root for the underdog (Akeson) because we want him to succeed no matter what. We tend to do that in Philadelphia and not with just hockey players. Like galvis for the phillies. Some people have this feeling he can be this great everyday player. I think he has skills but i think he is more suited for a super sub roll. There is nothing wrong with these guys. They just don't make or break a team and can be replaced.

Yea I mean I guess Berube is just throwing poop on the wall and hopes it sticks because we clearly dont have much options on this team right now.

Especially with Raffl out and Laughton still in the AHL. But eventually we could have a line up like this.

Raffl-Giroux-Voracek
Bellemare-Lecavalier-Simmonds
BSchenn-Couturier-Read
Rinaldo-Laughton-Umberger

I think next year you could see someone like Lerier and Alderson up too. Those are both guys that can skate, play a 200ft game and could chip in some offense

VandeVelde - Giroux - Rinaldo

I think Giroux would just go home.
