Have to think even Garth would have fired Cappy if the Isles lost to the Ducks last night without Perry and Getzlaf and the two goalies.

Real happy they won. They did what they should have: got two points against a team missing its best players. It wasn't pretty, but then again nothing is pretty when it comes to this team. The result is key. I know the more they win the more likely it is Cappy survives, but i'd rather see them win and keep Cappy. I've had enough of them losing.

On a side note, I am just perplexed at the line combos. I don't get it. I get Kulemin with JT and KO. I get the D pairings. For the life of me, I don't understand the rationale behind the scratches and the other three lines. The lineup looked awkward and nobody looked like they were in sync with each other.

Here's the problem: you know as well as I do that every point matters, especially in this league of OT-shoot out loser points. Teams miss the playoffs by a handful of points. In April, teams that miss the playoffs lament losing or giving away points in the beginning of the season. The Metro is a tight division. Looks like lots of parity for three guaranteed spots and even more parity for the two wild cards in the conference.

No I'm saying let them keep winning and if they go into the tank or start down that road, remove him and the entire staff for that matter. But I want this team to win every game, every night. I don't want them to lose games so Cappy gets fired. First off, there's no guarantee that will happen. Second, losing games = missing playoffs. Again. No thanks.

Maybe if they can get through No-Win-November without pissing all over their own face they can carry a little momentum through towards the end of the season. I agree with most of what you're saying, just not the idea that losing is good for the team because it will force a coaching change. Losing is never good. Especially in a year where we have no 1st rounder. This team has been losing for years, Where has it gotten them?

Lots of variables in play here. 1) the idea that Snow will actually pull the trigger and fire Cappy, 2) whether Snow simply promotes from within (which won't help at all) or goes outside the organization to hire the next HC, 3) that a quality candidate is available and interested in the job.

If its meant to be, that this team will go into a slide, then it will happen without me wanting the team to lose games to expedite it. After years of losing, my #1 concern is results on the ice, winning. That's all.

We got the two points which I am happy about but lets face we faced Jason Labarbara I mean not Getzlaf no Perry we better have won that game.

They were still running around with their tails between their legs for most of the game though. A hundred percent Ducks team and there would be no way we would have won that game

I never want to see a team I root for lose. When I woke up and saw they won, I was ecstatic. Saying that, they have to get rid of this guy. Fire them all except Weight. And, if you can convince a Sutter, a Laviolette, a Crawford, etc to come in and coach, then fire him too.

It can also mean getting rid of him and making the playoffs. I see your point but for the long term betterment of the team him being fired is a must imo. Us just missing prolonging his tenure is not helping this team. I cant watch him literally misplaying/using players any longer. Its detrimental in so many different ways to our developing players and the environment the team is in. Its not a "winning environment" and Capuano is a large reason why. . Snow is the type who has to be beat over his head to see something to the point hes borderline negligent. Unfortunate reality of this club.

On a related note, this mental midget of a coach had better figure out what to d owith a top line & stick to it. I don't want to see Tavares having to dump & chase his own pucks like he's been doing a lot lately. That line should be gaining the blueline, more often than not, with 2 or 3 forwards in tandem. JT, being the unselfish player, is doing what he can but with only one of his two wingers(KO) acclimated to his tendencies, his opted to gain the zone(by dumping) instead of trying to make neutral zone passes which lately have led to turnovers.

translation: the more he grinds along the boards & behind the net, the more wear & tear on him & likelihood he will get injured. Last night was fortunate - he picked up an easy rebound for 1st goal and got a deflection on the OT winner—but took a beating the entire game. I do not like seeing him have to play that game. This team looks lost at times in all zones because lines are changing EVERY game. I hear everyone who says they want the team to win but if it keeps Cappy behind the bench, then, in the long run, it's hurting more than helping. West is best to go on losing streak - not giving away meaningful points. Trust me - I want to see the Kings DOMINATE tonight and watch the chaos that ensues. WE NEED this guy to be gone. It's the lesser of the evils...

Then I thought he was a goner after the lackluster 2011-12 season, especially after how he botched Nino. Wrong again. Then I thought he would have been gone during or after that last turd of a season. Fool me thrice...!

Thus, there is simply no telling when the absurdly long tenure of this numbskull coach will finally end and what the parameters for dismissal might be. I am just gonna root for the blue and orange.

Agreed. None of us WANT to see them lose but its the only way to help the team. He will leave strome on the fourth line with boulton and martin wasting away just bcs they beat a depleted ducks team yesterday. Strome looked good btw. Unfortunately his line mates were expectantly a step or two behind.

we all want him gone, but I gotta be honest, I want them to win. If they have to win in spite of him, so be it. The MASSIVE collapse that would have to happen for him to get fired is not worth losing this season. I am not willing to bet that if we throw this season out the window, give buffalo an awesome pick and give the reigns to this underachieving group to a new coach sometime around Feb-March that this management group will hire anyone better then Cappy, history says they won't.
