When was the last time an 18 year old rookie defenseman led his team in scoring? Because Ekblad might just do it Man, love thinking back to all the Oilers fans yucking it up saying Nurse was much better etc.

Put him on the 4th line if you can't move him and have him and Moen rotate in and out of the lineup. Bottom line is that the team has an internal upgrade for the 3rd line.

While I am NOT a Bourque fan and would love nothing better, can we give it a few games before we jump on any bandwagons.

Bourque and Eller have been a trainwreck all season long. Why not develop Sekac who has at least shown spark with Eller and whose offensive abilities are far superior to Bourque's? Fact is, Bourque has been pretty useless and there is an alternative within the organisation.

I COMPLETELY agree with Sekac.
But not so long ago Bourque was a PO hero. I'd lkove nothing more than to send him packing, but who do we play with Eller-Sekac? PRUST?

Weise may be a more durable option in that spot if no other changes are made.

Well when they play one game together and score 2 goals, you at least give them another game or two. Tbh I think it's more likely that Sekac ends up on the top 6 with Plekanec. He's a better fit up there than Gallagher. Or who knows he could go pointless on Tuesday and end up back in the press box for 3 weeks.

maybe so, he played well enough though. Gallagher can be plugged in just about any line and have impact

Sekac may end up there but he needs to get there. Playing with Eller seems to be a good spot for him right now.

I give them the next week AT LEAST. I like the new line.
I want to package Bourque and get a useful player.

They looked decent last night and they took advantage of some good bounces for a change.
