As somebody on twitter just said, you could put a potato on with Giroux and Voracek right now and it'd get points

What about Ben Eager he's a step below a potato?

Vandevelde is playing solid Hockey. Strong skater, and strong on the puck. Don't see him as a top line player though.

Well, I didn't exactly see Raffl as a top line guy, either. I'm still not sure that we can't do better there, but Raffl seems to fit in about as well as you could expect.

"Alex Rodriguez has maintained that he never took performance-enhancing drugs from Biogenesis of America or its disgraced founder, Anthony Bosch.

According to a Miami Herald report, though, the Yankees third baseman told the Drug Enforcement Agency in January that he paid cash to Bosch for PEDs and received injections of human growth hormone."

I'm a bit confused. When he says he "never took" PEDs, does he mean he never physically took them directly from the guy? Because otherwise these statements seem to contradict.

VandeVelde also taking shifts with Giroux & Voracek. Guessing next will be the Zamboni driver at SkateZone, then the Pretzel girl

As long as he can keep his forecheck and puck pursuit game where it is, and continue going to the net and contributing offensively, he is a good fit.

Ben Eager is more of a sad pile of french fries that were left under the heat lamps at a Bennigan's for far too long.

What time will the announcement be made that Raffl is out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot?

I'm guessing 11:47 a.m.

Berube on putting CVV on Giroux line: "That line needs a simple player. He goes into the corners, he's been physical and he skates well."

I don't think VDV has been nearly as bad as everyone is making it seem. He plays a simple game. He's quick, tenacious, forchecks hard, and solid enough defensively. He's not going to put up points but if anyone is expecting him to they're just being unrealistic. It's not ideal by a long shot but I think he could work well enough on that line.

Really sucks about Raffl. He's been playing very well. He's not ideal as a top line winger but he's basically to Giroux what Dupuis is (or was) to Crosby.
