Both Schenns to Arizona? Well, that should get a half decent return.

i agree with hextall - always have. my general view is most masks are too busy these days. less is more. and try to have the team be the focal point. personal stuff can be on the back plate, chin or small details elsewhere.
- hammarby31

I agree, but I can also appreciate the artwork. My mask has team logos on the sides and my number on the chin. The back plate I have a Flyers symbol, my nickname and the initials of 2 of my close relatives who have passed.

I loved Vanbeisbrukes Flyers mask. The glitered orange with the spyder. Thought it was cool. Also the Ken Wregget penguin mask

L.Schenn is on his way out IMO. He has actually gotten worse since his days in Toronto. He was faster and played more physical at least.

- GOA88

umm schenn was physical in toronto but would frequently be out of position

If you think about the truly iconic masks....the ones associated with the great goaltenders....they aren't terribly busy or fancy.

funny you should mention that mask. jvb's orange spider hat was posted in one my goalie groups today on fb. i hated it then, still hate it now. made by armadilla.
he also had a chrome version.

More goalies should use chrome... especially w/ those crazy bright LED lights getting put in... could maybe throw some glare on the shooters, lol.

Even if you go outside the Flyers......Ken Dryden had a clean, classic one too.

Even Fat Marty's mask is pretty simple.

.. also, has anyone else thought about how nuts it is to now have an entire D pairing from non playoff Toronto of recent years. I know they weren't playing together but jebus, we've sunk low.

So glad we're taking it next level with poaching d-men from bad teams.

Schenn was poorly handled by Toronto and left in the hands of "run and gun" Ronnie Wilson for too long.

cechmanek had one. i don't think there's anybody using full on chrome now. even quick's armor design isn't chromed out.
