I guess. Imagine how badly a coach would get shredded if he did that
- Jsaquella

Do they still have Kinkaid? I know he was regarded highly at one time. Not sure why they would waive Clemmensen.

Matt Read will be traded by deadline.
- MrBigglesworth

If he keeps playing like he has this season, I don't know if that isn't an option that I wouldn't explore.

Filip forsberg is having an amazing rookie season playing 1st line in Nash. And the Preds got him for close to nothing. and then Erat pulled a Jeff Carter in Washington.

we should have traded for him just so all of those Forsberg jerseys could have been recycled

Last time I saw him in a Flyers jersey he was ripping it up in the playoffs.

Of course I expected more from him than we've gotten. I'm not sure his mom could find him during some of the games this season.

- mayorofangrytown

of course he was ripping up in the playoffs but he was just ok during the regular season
umberger has just been ok this season so far

We'll throw in one lightly used Chris Vande Velde as an inducement.

but it is a tough one. i'm clinging largely to the unknown potential there in the hopes that it 2 years time he can be special alongside crosby.

but i really think read would be a tailor made addition to the pens right now.

That was a bad trade and everyone knew it right away. Washington tried to play it off like Forsberg had fallen off a bit since being drafted. It was an awful decision.

Or we'll just offer to take Craig Adams mercifully off your hands... god knows Craig Beroobee loves himself some plugs... pluggier the better.

VL can slide right into that 3rd line spot and kill penalties for us too. So lucky to have so many versatile forwards.

I think Kapanen projects as a similar player to Read.

haha yeah im sure your coach would love him. tries hard, lot of sandpaper, and really works to get to his game. unfortunately his game resembles that of a fire hydrant.

but actually craig at 700something is much less of a burden than a few more years of scuds at 3.
