After a day being short staffed on medicine thought about being lazy and grabbing some Burger King on way home.

Medics and Fire near the till with a guy having what looked to be cardiac issues

Irony. Not sure if I should eat these burgers now.

ROSTER UPDATE: The #Flyers have loaned Shayne Gostisbehere to the @LVPhantoms and activated Vincent Lecavalier from the injured reserve.

The Flyers would have know this yesterday if they read cap geek

Soon it will be why is Mason signed for as long as he is, Luke Schenn sucks, Rinaldo is an idiot, & why can't they make a pass out of their own zone.

Would anyone be open to trading for Slava Voynov, if it's true he's going to be made available?
- MJL

Ignoring the stigma of acquiring right now (domestic abuse is a huge media storm right now and I'm not sure any GM wants to get involved in that) I dont think its a fit for both teams.

LA needs cap relief and we cant really give them much of that. Plus we are up against it too. What would it have to be? Read and picks? The Schenns?

Depending on cost but the legal issues would have to be worked out first.

He's a good second pairing d-man signed on a reasonable deal.

The only logical explaination is that capgeek must be run by a bunch of time travelers.

It's interesting to me that "loaned" was the word used here. Huh.

Is this really the argument going on now? Who the hell cares? Just a suggestion: Take the discusson it to PMs. This is becoming borderline embarrassing for all parties involved.

All it takes is somebody making a good drive out with a Comcast van at Umberger or LeCavalier. Free up cap space and free the team of a warm body.

Who knows when the guy is going to be able to play again. I would think that's a factor in being able to trade him.

http://www.csnphilly.com/hockey-philadelphia-flyers/flyers-demote-shayne-gostisbehere-phantoms

On Saturday, the Flyers sent the 21-year-old defenseman back to the Phantoms to clear a roster spot for Vinny Lecavalier, who will return to the lineup against the Panthers after missing seven games with a left foot injury

There's the specifics. Didn't happen yesterday. Happened today.

- Jsaquella

Capgeek gets the official transactions directly from the League. Gostisbehere was assigned to the AHL yesterday, on October 31st.
http://www.capgeek.com/flyers/transactions/

- MJL

He was at the morning skate, according to NHL.com. If he was sent down on Friday, he's not allowed to be at the skate with the Flyers.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/bl...d=33318#&navid=nhl-search

Gallant said after the morning skate that Barkov, Bergenheim and Bolland all are day-to-day. Pirri was placed on injured reserve Friday, which means he will miss a game Tuesday against the Boston Bruins but could return for the rematch against the Flyers next Thursday. ... Colaiacovo, signed by the Flyers on Friday, was one of five Philadelphia players who skated at BB&T Center on Saturday morning. ... Also skating was Gostisbehere, who is expected to be reassigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL. Gostisbehere became the first player born and raised in South Florida to appear in an NHL game last Saturday when he played against the Detroit Red Wings

Hextall could have sent Ghost back FRI but kept him here in case injury/illness and b/c this is father's trip in FLA

- Jsaquella

All it says is that he skated with 5 players, not that he was at an official practice. I don't know what to tell you, but Capgeek lists the official league transactions. How many are aware that Coburn is on LTIR?

I trust capgeek more then philly.com or anyone that writes for them

- MJL

NHL.com doesn't list Gostisbehere being sent down yesterday either.

Do they know if Coburn is on LTIR?

http://theahl.com/stats/t...eason_id=48&f_team_id=313

AHL is unaware that Ghost was sent down yesterday as well. Odd.

- Jsaquella

I trust capgeek more then any of the other sources.
- MJL

Good for you. The NHL, AHL and Flyers websites list no transactions involving Gostisbehere yesterday.

Flyers beat writers talking to Hextall all tweet that Gostisbehere was sent down today, and one provided an explanation as to why, but yeah, capgeek has it 100% correct

- Jsaquella

Capgeek gets it's transactions directly from the League offices.

Definitely. If the charges are promptly dropped I'm not sure why LA wouldn't just keep him. Unless a trade is solely made due to character issues(in which case I'm not sure I'd even want him)

Lots of information can be found in Article 13 of the CBA. Including the two day travel period and how that works.

If I were them I would sell high on Williams and get some strong prospects/high picks in return. They're a very strong team built to win now though so they could just as easily hold onto him through the season though and move his rights in the summer.
