Hextall should just can him. And paint "mediocrity doesn't cut it" in the locker room.
- hereticpride

Would that be over the stalls of the defense core?

Berube is going to try the wishbone next
- BiggE

They did the flea flicker(slingshot) to get through the neutral zone last year. You never know!

You mean this Hextall?

http://www.courierpostonl...xtall-sees-team/18348357/

“In terms of our level of play we’re probably where I thought we’d be,” Hextall said. “In terms of our wins and losses, we’d probably a game or two behind.”

There are a bunch of guys that are bringing nothing to this lineup......Rinaldo is doing nothing to warrant ice time.

He brings it upon himself -- you don't have to insert him at 2C in his first game back

Insert him on L4, see how his legs are and if he's creating anything, playing with pace

It doesn't have to be forever. But they looked brutal at ES tonight, and it doesn't help that three of the four lines are different from when you have been scoring some goals, though L1 was doing a lot of that lifting

I think you guys are being way too hard on yourselves. The fact of the matter is we are, in terms of goals against, one of the best defensive teams in hockey. Luongo has been fantastic.

Yep, could have gone down for a conditioning assignment.

What for? He'd still be as slow as molasses when he got back.

The problem wasn't even that it was the Panthers. It's the effort from the players and the lack of adjustments from the coaching staff.

You can't show up for 20 minutes and expect to win ....even against an AHL line up...no offense.

This game didn't have anything to do with the line changes. Flyers just didn't generate enough quality chances, and Luongo had good looks at the puck all night. Every game that they lose, people want to blame the coach. How about some criticism of the players? They actually played the game.

It's just light hearted humor. I think most of us know the next few years are for building and are just having some fun with it.

True, but the Flyers spent the first 30+ minutes acting like they had two points in the bank. They're full of themselves for beating Pittsburgh, Detroit & LA and battling back to fall to Tampa by one goal, and take the ice against the Panthers like, ho hum, it's the Panthers.

None taken. We're down Huberdeau, Bergenheim, Barkov, Bolland, and Pirri. Huby was a pre-game decision with the flu. I'm shocked we won.

That's true, and the Panthers aren't going to give up a lot of quality chances. So need to get pucks to the net, traffic to the net. Luongo saw the puck all night. Not until they pulled the goalie, did the Flyers get any consistent pressure, or traffic at the net. And the Flyers PP was anemic.

Nothing personal but the player turnover for nearly 7+ years has been insane. Maybe it's time to stop blaming the guys on the ice. 3s dressed up as a nine. Wasting our time.

They had 3 lines playing well, and the 4th line was scuffling because of the shuffling with guys in and out. They insert Vinny, juggle three of the four lines and had 3 ineffective lines.

They didn't have much intensity, and it's foolish to dismiss the line yahtzee as a potential issue.

If they doen't want to move assets and let the guys play through it, fine. They need to shake the lines up though. Skating and fundamentals get you minutes. Your name alone gets you nothing.

True. It's just frustrating to see the Flyers come out and play hard and compete against top teams and then struggle to get up for the Panthers-a team who right now is with them in terms of the standings.

Doesn't have anything to do with the line changes? Are you drunk?

L2 looked horrific

L4 looked horrific

L3 was Couturier dragging Schenn and Read along

PP1 with Vinny on it looked horrific

You can try to shield Berube all you want, but one thing I know is this:

Schenn-Bellemare-Simmonds played with pace

Umberger-Couturier-Read didn't look this miserable

Rinaldo-VDV-Akeson were inconsequential

Get ready for a dynamite fourth line. Umberger-LeCavalier-Rinaldo
