exactly... except you forgot Winnick.

Gunnar was and will never be physical force like Polak is - completely different players. For the Leafs now there's no question is better fit.

I do think however the Leafs need to put Clarkson back with Komarov and Santorelli... I don't think Clarkson is quick enough to play with Bozak and JvR.

and any one complaining about Peter Holland, after the past two games needs to give their head a shake.

Winnik was probably the most underrated move of all. strong two way guy who can move up and down the lineup and get 30 points for 1.3 mil? great deal.

sky is falling in Ottawa.....or they are realizing they can't play back up goalies or goalies who have never played in the NHL before every night, still get outshot and get a point or two. I (frank)ing love it

its not so simple when bernier allows 1 goal, getting two wins then reimer comes in on a back to back and gets 45 saves in a masterpiece against the hawks. Reimer has been consistent this year, and Bernier is on fire his last few games. who do we start next?
- GardinerExpress

Bernier would be my guess.

Reimer is the backup right now IMO

I would say right or wrong that is Randy's mindset for sure. Not too worried either way - both are playing well. Another b2b this week (Sat/Sun) so they'll both get to play at some point.

Reimer has been the better goalie though

Hey, I don't make the calls....I just call it how I see it...Bernier #1 Reimer #2

It could change in a flash if Bernier doesn't play well.

anyone who watched even 50% of the game for each of Buffalo and Columbus could tell you that the team has a whole was beginning to play the more conservative defensively sound game.

I suspect that Bernier's being on fire was more to keep himself warm during those games. Reimer face more in number and much more difficult shots in the third against the Hawks than Bernier saw in the two previous games combined.

My point is ... it won't matter who starts the next one. If there's two back to back... you alternate.

The notion put forth by some on these boards that either has been noticeably better than the other this season to date is absurd.

I think the #1 was decided when they traded for Bernier, unless he totally drops the ball....that's how it is, regardless of who likes it and who doesn't

Ok, Wings beat Kings. Leafs lose to Wings in OT. Wings better than Cup Champs. Leafs almost beat Wings. Leafs beat Rangers. Rangers Eastern Conf Champs. Leafs beat Blackhawks. Cream of the crop. Therefore, Leafs will start losing to inferior teams soon and those 2-3 losses will cost them 8th spot.

They're also starting to realize that Karlsson sucks defensively

I know it's early. But what would you think of a package of Lupul, Franson and a pick for Yandle?

Can't believe one of them admitted it...holy poop. All summer it was how he's an elite defender in his own end a la Lidstrom with the stick and positioning defense.

LOL Lidstrom...(frank) me rotten in the ass. Nobody deserves Lidstrom comparisons, but Lidstrom. He was one of a kind.

Gunnarson was literally the softest defenceman the leafs have had since ever. He is not what this team needs at all. Polak is the better defenceman for this club. In the small sample siZe that I've seen of Polak in Toronto I'd take him over gunnR every day.

its a shame in a way that Gleason still isn't around. I think Gleason (not ignoring the whole salary cap issue) and Polak could have been the real tough shut down pair that this team has been missing for .... forever.

Not Gleason! He was so slow. How slow was he...here's Gleason taking a shower after a game.
