Meh. Ignore him. He's not a troll apparently. Like all the other slimy little poops that call themselves Scabs fans.
Blaming the fans for sticking with their team regardless is very much an American/Quebec thing. Guys don't know the meaning of loyalty. It's unfortunate. - walshyleafsfan
I love you very much my good sir... |

Boston's the only team in the East that plays a game that could work against a top team in the West so don't feel bad about that. Maybe Pittsburgh too but I am not sure. - daeth
Pittsburgh is on the status quo, great regular season. Post season starts and Fluery lays an egg. Boston doesnt look like the big bad bruins this year. Looks like lucic game has caught up to him at the early age of 26 and chara isn't the beast he once was. All this is great news for leaf fans if it wasn't for TBay looking like the new team to beat |

Tampa is a team that soon enough could beat the West. Fantastic depth. |

They are both offense-first players with minimal defensive ability. People compare them a lot because they are directly comparable in that sense. Similar numbers, similar role.
The only major difference is Kane has played on a better team and has had the opportunity to play tons of playoffs games and has been an elite playoff performer. - daeth
Playoff records:
Player - GP - G -- A -- Pts
Kane -- 93 - 37 - 54 - 91
Kessel - 22 - 13 - 8 -- 21
They're basically both point per game playoff performers, the only difference being Kane has had more games to work with, thanks to playing with a better team.

Phaneuf played good tonight. No one can complain about hi performance. - Santo_44
couldnt agree more! Keith was brutal all night! 15 seconds in he gave up a horrible 2 on 1. The leafs had a lot of chances tonight, they just couldn't cash in on. I thought Polak was the best leaf dman tonight |

With Kane we know for sure he's elite in the playoffs at least. With Kessel it's more of a "all signs point to him being a good playoff performer" instead. It's not his fault but it's how it is. I'd take Kane over him because of that but Kessel could easily be as good or maybe even better, who knows. |

For sure Kieth was brutal
As for Polak I agree completely. He is an upgrade over Gunnar IMO |

They're a top 5 possession team right now too. Doubt they'd be that high if they had to play in the West though. |

Meh, a healthy Gunnar is better I think. He was just being used wrong. He shouldn't be on the top pairing. |

It's a good debate. But impossible to prove without each player swapping teams. I think kessel is the better elite goal threat but Kane has a better team to play with. It's like arguing religion....no win situaion |

The habs are also a Subban injury away from being a non playoff team. their 8-2-1 record disguises the fact that they have given up as many goals as they have scored. the division leading pens by comparison, are +19.
Do you think the habs are cup contenders year in and out? they have had some miserable years as well. nothing like winning a couple rounds to have the fans planning a parade for the next 5 years though! - GardinerExpress
If you had read anything I said, you would understand that I was the first one to mention that the Habs sucked during the 90's and a portion of the 00's. Grow up child. And I mean that nicely. |

Gunnar was never healthy and would never play the body. It was time to move on. Good trade by nonnis who never gets credit for anything. See Polak, Komarov, Santorelli for examples |

Listen Roeper, I respect your opinion. But the habs are still 2 solid defencemen short, and one solid centre short (Galchenyuk in a year or two hopefully) before being a true contender. But the Leafs need to stop accepting mediocracy. I am not saying this as a troll, I am saying this as a fan of hockey. No original six team should be going through the purgatory the Leafs have. Not a single one... - habman75
Can't disagree with your sentiment but I am not sure I agree with whatever it is you think Toronto fans should do about it.

To add to that, they were an average team in 1986 and 1993, but Roy literally stole two cups for them. If they had fired that loud mouth Tremblay, instead of trading Roy, he might have stole them another one.

Gimme a tough stay at home righty over a soft stay at home lefty any day of the week. Polak has been great, and can actually clear out the front of the net.
we have given up 3 goals during this 3 game win streak...D is starting to come together |

The Leafs would make millions for every playoff home game. Rogers and Bell pretty much only care about profit, and you can bet they'd love to win a cup every single season. Long term sustainable success would make them a lot more money. That's their goal I am sure.
What us fans do or don't do won't change that. We just have to hope that one day they'll figure out how to actually win. |

so...lets just root for a team like the hawks or kings because we know the leafs are not cup contenders?
Leafs fans can "accept" that we are 6-2-1 after a pair of losses to start the season |
