A very long, long time ago, I used to go down to Maple Leaf Gardens and wait for the player tix to become available. Iirc, tix would be released at 4:30 pm for an 8 pm Saturday night game, so I would get there around 3:30 pm and wait while listening to music on my Sony Walkman. Worked every time.

Seats were greys - section 93. Only problem was you were sitting with friends and family of the visiting team, so you had to be polite.
