It's a tough one. The Sabres have made things difficult for themselves as well. They've talked about "earning" spots. They send Grigorenko down after he arguably earned a spot. They've sent Reinhart down to Juniors, who, while looked a little out of place, still looked better than Zadorov did at his position. If, of the three "Junior" players, the guy that essentially held a gun to the Sabres' head is the one that ends up keeping his spot, the Sabres look really bad, and they look a bit like they can get pushed around, administratively speaking.

I don't like that earning a spot spiel with all these losers. It's just an excuse. Maybe on a good team it has some merit, but not here.

Oh believe me, I agree. This team is 2-8-2 with 12 goals for. As far as I'm concerned, nobody's earned anything. It's a major reason why I wanted Reinhart to stay here. Still, they backed themselves into a bit of a corner with that kind of rhetoric. And the one player with the leverage to call their bluff, is using it.

I don't see it being our garbage (Mezeros, Benoit, Strachan (even though he's looked ok)) Not Risto or Zads, say what you will about Weber but he was top 5 in hits and has a high # of blocked shots not to mention return wouldn't be big. Myers? It appears to be tough to get what they want for him.

No idea, Weber is too hard for me to understand what he would be worth in a trade. If only a third then I don't think he's worth trading but I thihk a bit higher of him then some. Not that I think he's an all star mind you, just not as bad as many.

I think if they keep his minutes around 16 per game, he is fine

last year they played him way too much and he took a big step back after a nice season in 2013

he is not an issue this season IMO
