I still feel our goalie of the future hasn't been drafted/acquired yet but what i've heard of petersen is fairly promising. It's a shame i probably won't get the chance to watch him until he turns pro.

So hard to judge . Most goalies have so many ups and downs in their development.
- Maximum Signal

Agreed. it seems like a goalie's development is so unique to each one of them you have to wonder if you're giving up on them too early or holding on too long.

I mean for all we know Makarov could go from top propspect, to bust, to nhl starter. It's probably the more exciting position going forward in the rebuild simply because you can't really pin one guy down as the front runner.

Im obviously excited for those guys as well but i always had a feeling those two would do well for us. The goaltending position is a huge question mark so it adds some mystery/excitement to it.

I'd much rather Armia and Grigorenko stay in Rochester for the year and stay as far away as possible from the losing culture right now that is their parent club.
That is only my opinion.

I'm of the same mindset as well. I like their chances at earning roster spots next year though, especially if they keep it up in Rochester.

Carrier's my wildcard, not big on him in general but he's played a pretty good two way game down there as well.

While you are patting yourselfs on your backs I was curious. Whatever happened to the old hippy generation questioning authority? It seems you two are good Nolan blind soldiers for some reason. Last overall last year, embarrassing loses this year but stay the course, he can do no wrong. Max always saying we think we know more than coaches and management. With election day approaching, it's a good thing people think they know better and want changes on certain election days.

I never claim I know more than any other poster here unlike some others that love to come off as "authority".
I have been watching this game much longer than some posters here have been alive.
That said, anyone that blames Nolan for this team underperforming certainly doesn't know hockey.
In my opinion of course.

Sorry was never a hippy . Worked my butt of getting a full athletic Scholarship and then worked hard getting the degree that it gave me a chance to get . Not a Nolan blind soldier either . He serves a purpose installing a good work ethic in our youth . Pretty well a foregone conclusion that when we are ready to compete he will have a nice golden parachute handed to him By Mr Pegula. But us old folks can tend to see the big picture more than folks that seem to think they know better than the coaches , Gm and scouts . We believe in paying your dues and that hard works does pay off . But I know some of you are just so much wiser than us . I have accepted that. I keep getting HardHat to do that for your sake.

Gotcha, and I have watched and played into college for years as well and I have an opinion that this team would still suck with any coach but to a different degree. Note team record 10 SOG against the Leafs. I have an opinion that Nolan is not a modern day coach and will not be here when the Sabres are built for success.

Agreed Hat. Nolan isn't skating and trying to score goals . A team of players on the ice is what wins games. The coach coordinates who and when they are on the ice. If the players can't produce when they are on the ice. It's not the coaches fault.

Oh and by the way.
I don't vote. Never have.
I don't waste my time with politics.
Every politician is nothing more than a professional liar.
I couldn't bear to know that I wasted my time worrying about let alone driving to go cast a vote for one of them losers.

Gil, you may be right.
I can not tell you , you are or aren't.
All I know and see is that this team, this roster is a heaping pile of sh1T !
I can't blame Ted for their performances.
When Ted has some tools to work with and he fails, trust me when I tell you I will be the first MAN to say that he is failing.

Agree. but plenty of blame to go around. Everyone thought they saw a difference with Nolan after taking over for Rolston. I think coaches matter, but that's my opinion.

true Gil. We were all hoping Nolan could motivate the players like he did with the make shift team he had in the past. He has said to be past the 10 game easy stroll he gave the players and has put the hammer down. We saw a better display vs Boston. Lets see if it is staying the course tonight. We all might be surprised on how this group can actually perform. We talk about all the talented prospects we have . Well time to show us.

Edit: And it's snowing outside here in riverside/tonawanda
