But the idea of burning something and inhaling the fumes seems dumb to me. Plus we lost my father in law to lung cancer as he started when "8 out of ten doctors smoke Camels!", and weed is more carcinogenic than tobacco (though used less).

THC itself has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumors, which is why cases of lung cancer haven't gone up with the increased use of weed.

And I don't think you can compare the weed lobby to the tobacco lobby
