So why did the leafs need the $800 000 cap saving for the week? Makes no sense unless they had a trade that didn't happen?

I think his salary is prorated/day that passes while he's "in the minors" so they may have saved approximately $25000 ? In real cap space. Vs burning that money to sit him in almost meaningless games where they don't want 7D. Maybe he won't play10 games? |
