So turbning around throwing an elbow to the head is the same as the burrows hit...ahh right, your obviously non biased opinion states that as well

no he doesn't. that was a late hit. Burrows followed through. your player laid a cheap, dirty and cowardly hit. suck it up and accept.

My god, we will have to hear about this hit for the next year...

Emelin has to take some of the credit for the hit because he put himself in a bad position....he was awkward and falling all over the place.

Thanks for giving credit to the canucks for the win, it's always nice to see that.

- rune_74

It's definitely not Burrows fault. He doesn't know his left from right. He pushed into the hit with his left leg propelling himself to Emelins head. If he pushes off with the right foot, he might hit his shoulder....

A hit to the head is a hit to the head is what I'm saying.

It's a pretty simple concept when you think about it.

If he didn't want to get a cheapshot right in the head, all he had to do is not be on the ice last night. It was his fault.

Eric, whatever we can say about the Burrows let, let's not be that fanbase that blames the refs. Montreal didn't score a goal until more than 50 minutes had gone by in this game. Vancouver was value for their win.

Not a fan perspective... goal shouldn't have counted. Vancouver played well. So did Montreal. All things being equal Montreal wins 2-1 in regulation.

I still haven't seen the hit...but I do truly believe there should be more blaming the victims in this world!

but your logic is flawed. you cannot remove that goal and assume everything that happened thereafter would have still happened.

My point exactly. I'd love a game to go by where we aren't all whining about the refs influencing it, or the quality of ice being poor, or the pre-game meal being too filling... If this team plays a full 60 minutes with the intensity they've shown they can produce, they can be a really tough team to play against. This idea of sitting back and trying to cash in only in the third period is stupid and will cost them in the long run.

So let's say they called the penalty and the Canucks don't score, that doesn't mean that Montreal would have won regardless.

Considering Emelin has a metal plate in his face, it was indeed dangerous.

I disagree with you there Eric.

Of course it shouldn't have been a goal but the whole game would have been played differently if the score was 1-0 instead of 2-0.

right, exactly. again, biggest reason Montreal lost is that they couldn't score for the first 52 minutes of the game.

Yes...and as I said...it wasn't a great angle. It could have been a whiff and Emelin was selling it from that angle.

Look...whatever...I think we all agree Emelin should at least be fined for his actions, hit or no hit.
