100% agreed. He is a second pairing dman on most team's and will be a #2 overall on most teams when he hits his prime. Not worth exactly a Mantha+ or Draisatle+

And you are not getting Myers for a 4th 5th defensemen and a 3rd line player. You are going to pay in Top Prospects and or a 1st round draft pick like it or not. The Wings called about Myers, Buffalo said the starting point is either Nyquist, or Mantha. Wings said no. Buffalo then said well what about Larkin which is another good prospect and they didnt like that either. Why? Because they dont want to part with what it will take to get Myers. Too many teams are smoking crack if you think Myers is not going to come with 1 or 2 really good young pieces.

I'm thinking Petry on an expiring contract is going to be of no use to them in a Yandle trade.

My hope is that they're doing poorly and thus aren't really looking for roster assets coming back the other way.

Realistically: Klefbom, Nurse, 2015 + 2016 picks, Nikitin or Ference if they want them, literally any forward prospect not named Draisaitl would be on the table.

He is not worth what your pal over there is saying he's worth. Draisaitl for Myers straight up I wouldnt do. I would do a Klefbom and a 2016 first and a conditional pick in this years draft(2or3) based on performance of the team.

And I feel that is VERY VERY generous.

To be fair, their head honcho has stated that unless an overpayment happens, Buffalo is keeping Myers. So, if he does go somewhere, it will have to be for a wtf trade. I think he could be had for a top six and several picks/prospects that aren't first rounders or top prospects. Like Eberle, 2 2nds, Marincin and insert medium prospect. Myers would probably have a crappy piece or two added on.

I feel bad for the kid though, he likes to join the rush.. we have none..He likes to pinch in the offensive zone.... we are never in the offensive zone.

Myers is a solid player. He will be a UFA at what, 28 or 29? If he walks then and he continues to develop strongly, he'll get a huge (frank)ing paycheck.

And to be fair...Mact said the exact same about our young guys. He said he gets calls on our forwards but will not trade any of them unless its an overpay. So Eberle and klef and a first for myers is quite hilarious.
