I would say that Pronger fringed on the dbaggery level that Chelios possessed- as opposition anyway...

But Buffalo doesn't have to move myers so anyone getting him will have to overpay or he stays a saber. So your choice is stay bad and keep your pick and keep drafting high or make a trade in which you will overpay in any situation because everyone knows the oilers are desperate.

Take a look at Yandle's game. He creates very few turnovers and positions himself well in his zone. You need a guy that will log 25 mins a game, control the play and a + player.

I watch Yandle. He's a guy you want to pair with a shut down defenseman. He's a good defensively minded player, but really can focus too much on offense sometimes. Like I said, he'd fit well here, but the glaring need in the Oiler's line up is a pure shut down, stay at home defenseman. Or at worst, a two-way defender with better shut down ability than Yandle.

Your ask was for the most recent 3rd Overall pick, our best defenseman in the AHL (former 1st round pick), the best defenseman on our NHL team, and next year's 1st round pick. Who is the one smoking crack?

If we have to pay Draisaitl + a first this year then MacT laughs. You might, MIGHT, get a last 1st and an expiring contract for him from a contending team this year.

I know the Oilers are glued to Schultz and that makes people worried about more of the same, but I feel like this could be a solid Dcore.

Hamhuis is hugely underrated. Would've made a big difference if he didn't go down for you guys in 2011.

Myers isn't going anywhere then bud. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Funny thing I am not kidding by much. Too many people are like well Myers sucks I will give you a 4th and a 7th round for him but want him to be there #1 Defensemen. No one is walking away without paying a premium for Myers. That means a Eberle, or Mantha, or A top end Prospect and a First round pick. Too many people think Myers will get sold for Peanuts and he will not be. Some 3rd liner and a 4th or 5th defensemen will not get you Myers and too many people think so.

Thats what you think someone will overpay. See "first-round pick in the 2012 draft to Buffalo for center Paul Gaustad" Myers is not going for less than high end young talent.
