haven't really looked into it this year. That makes the points he's put up pretty damn impressive then.
don't know how much I'd invest in a 10ish game sample though - TheNugeIsHuge

I know PP points are a bit of a red flag because so much of a PP's success can be system based, but with how discombobulated our PP looks, I might consider that to be a notch in the favour of Yandle being a good fit. |

We wont be getting Yandle... He is not going to be had for cheap- and considering the cost- and what he brings may as well look elsewhere... |
|
|
|
Buff would be great for defense- but what is the cost??? Would Perron + do it and plus meaning no top 6 roster player? |

If Arizona continues to suck, he may be available for non-roster assets. And considering the strides we've made on our roster, I consider that to be a qualitatively cheaper price than some of the other options that may be out there. |

I'd take him as there just isn't a lot of options. Like I said earlier I'd try to just change our system to reflect his addition as well.
I just don't get why we don't run 2 systems now anyways. Let the wagon line and Fayne/Marincin do shutdown and the rest offense. |

He's in a slump and he's not being deployed that way, but Perron is better than Pouliot, Purcell and Yakupov (at present), and has arguably been on par with Eberle over the 90-odd games he's been here. I'd be reluctant to give him up before others |

That's a good point. I've probably under-thought how much of an impact on the system adding a maverick like Yandle would have.
There's some good and bad to those potential changes, as you say. |

I think we're better off on the very short term and much worse off long term is we pulled off his proposed Myers deal. Sure Myers(2nd pairing D) is better than what Yak is at this very moment (3rd line wing), but I'm betting on Yak. Maybe I'm more optimistic on him than most. If a year, 2 years from now Yak is a 40G-30A player EDM loses that trade badly. Don't think Myers Foligno bring EDM out of the basement very much at all either. So that's Yak+top 6-7 pick in a deep deep draft - TheNugeIsHuge
Good post
It's all perception
As opposed to ur assumptions about yaks; I'm betting on Myers. And where my real point lies is with that said; I think we're better short AND long term.
For argument sake; Myers develops into a towering 2 and Foligno is a banger that can move up and down the top 9. I say we win that trade even of yaks turns into a perennial 30 goal guy. And this is extremely plausible. Myers develops into a true 1 stud? We win the trade no matter what yaks or our other asset Foligno does.
But no doubt I can see the risks. |

Just playing some NHL15 and watching some scary movies. I'll check that out. Wings and LA could be a great game. |

Trading for Myers and the only way we get him is for Hall, Nuge and Ebs. |

Lame. Maybe Ebs if they throw in Flogno, otherwise Myers , the Sabres, and all their fans can (frank) off. |

Sabres fan told us that it'd take Draisaitl, our 1st+ to get Myers and he- and I paraphrase- "doesn't care if we don't want to give it up cause that's what it'd take". They might even be kind enough to give us Hodgson and Pysyk if the plus is Klefbom and Petry... |

Okay. I think Myers will be a Sabre for the duration of his contract if that's the case. Which is fine, they might want to keep him anyway. |
