Ok, good to know it's not too (frank)ed of a drug! hahah
He plays hockey out around Cold Lake, he and a guy were battling for the puck, and my brother tripped up in the other guys skates, fell face first towards the ice, (this is now what he has been told as he has no memory of anything happened) and the guys heel of his skate caught my brother directly on his left orbital bone. my brother was then bleeding from his face on the ice and pretty badly concussed.
The stupid (frank)er doesn't wear a face mask, not even a visor. And the guy is lucky that he didn't catch the skate blade in his eye!
So yeah, my brother had 6 broken spots in his orbital bone and partially broken nose along with a concussion. He went via ambulance to UofA hospital and they gave him a bunch of morphine. Best part is that apparently some cutie nurse was checking on him for a while, but since he was so out of it and doped up, he couldn't get a good look at her or hit on her
He had his surgery and is apparently feeling much better already. But he doesn't have to work for at least another two weeks and gets to enjoy pain killers for a while. And gets to tell people he has a metal plate in his face.
Funny, he is the fourth guy I know that have broken their orbital bones. - ChetManly
Damn dude that's crazy, as bad as it was he's lucky it wasn't far worse. |

Ouch. That is poopty. Make sure he keeps on top of his concussion protocol or he could end up mentally (frank)ed up like me
That is a poopty accident to happen. I had a guy go a$$ over tea kettle once and his skate blade came up and grazed my nose, could have been a lot worse. Hope he makes a full recovery....and that the metal plate is adamantium, the same poop they put in Wolverine. |

I would say rule of thumb is whatever H.A. does, or I do, to not do. But yeah that would (frank) him up....and has potential for serious poop too. - ruttager17
I told him to be careful and to not have booze with it. I don't trust that little weiner.
However, i would totally have a drink with that stuff. but i'm the stupid one in the family, so it makes sense.

Yeah as long as he takes it easy he will be fine. Just a risk of overdoing it and depressing the CNS too far is the precaution with meds like that. Basically what happened to Boogaard |

You could get that piece by only trading Perron or Yakupov to Pittsburgh - Barnaby36
Nobody in Pitts is worth that (Stroke-boy doesn't interest me, we've been burned by recovering Pitt Dmen in the past) |

Oddly enough Yandle is playing harder competition than both and is getting more defensive zone starts than OEL. - Lahey
haven't really looked into it this year. That makes the points he's put up pretty damn impressive then.
don't know how much I'd invest in a 10ish game sample though |

people were saying that about the 2014 1st and now Draisaitl is a huge huge asset for them. Sounds great in theory, but when EDM finishes 5th last we'll be eating our own shit. - TheNugeIsHuge
I think huge's perception is that if we made trades for the kind of players those picks get you, we'd all but guarantee to be out of the bottom 5.
Which is a win in my books, no matter which prospect we don't get to draft. |

I think we're better off on the very short term and much worse off long term is we pulled off his proposed Myers deal. Sure Myers(2nd pairing D) is better than what Yak is at this very moment (3rd line wing), but I'm betting on Yak. Maybe I'm more optimistic on him than most. If a year, 2 years from now Yak is a 40G-30A player EDM loses that trade badly. Don't think Myers Foligno bring EDM out of the basement very much at all either. So that's Yak+top 6-7 pick in a deep deep draft |

Yandle is the kind of defenseman that MacT wants. He moves the puck and he can skate very well and his defensive game is not so bad. Depending on the cost I would look into it for sure. |

For the most part, I want to keep everyone currently on the roster and would be open to moving everyone not currently on the roster, including draft picks.
I've been thinking a lot lately about not letting great be the enemy of good in terms of who's available and who's likely to be available in the coming years. |

Yeah. MacT's MO is to get 7 angry puck-moving defensemen. He likes guys that can skate the puck and throw checks, whether that means they're good at defense or not. Wouldn't be surprised if he was all over a guy like Byfuglien, even if health-nut Eakins would have a conniption. |
