They are a solid 2/2B line that can produce but also be responsible. That's why i like them. Imagine a center like Vermette or Brodziak with them.

I don't really see how Yandle makes our defense better defensively. I'd take him, but I wouldn't expect drastic improvements. Myers and Buff are intersting, but at the same time are those teams ready to make a move like that?

But as this convo has went, the price is too much at present.

Yandle can move the puck, qb the pp, and even tho he has some defensive flaws, he closes gaps wel and likes to engage physically.
He'd be a huge help.

Buff has his defensive warts too. Not sure if he's available.

Myers is a very good dman. He is still very young and will only get better. It takes alot longer for dman to become great players especially 6'8 players ( Chara perfect example). Sabres a very young team and could easily keep myers. But the sabres also have alot of high quality dman coming up so if the right deals comes they will trade him.

Edm is still young but most of their players a year two from their primes so if they were to get myers they would reach their primes together.

To get Myers they would need a trade like

Myers, Stewart and second for Yak, Kelfdom, and 1st.

It works for both teams Stewart helps bring size and consistency to wing and myers brings size and top dman they desperately need. The picks just even things out.

I think he makes our defensive at worst completely the same defensively. He makes us much better offensively, and it strikes me that he's a pretty good energy guy.
