Vigneault says 3-4 weeks for McDonagh. That's their hope for now. And not sure yet on Klein's timetable. Still some swelling |

Past players with the same injury missed anywhere from 3-6 weeks. So yea 3-4 sounds good to me |

This next week is going to be the toughest in NYR recent history. Stepan, Moore, Boyle, Mcdonagh all out most likely. Klein definitely not playing tomorrow. Idk how to describe how bleak that looks. |

Only good thing is St. Louis is banged up a bit. Backes and Oshie are out for sure. Stastny is still recovering. But Tarasenko has just been a machine the bast week. |

Backes is in again. That dude is the quickest recovering player from concussions ever. |

I don't get it. The one forward with size and experience and it's Malone on waivers for a possible move. Should be Hayes going down to Hartford. Kid needs to learn the game at a faster paced-level. Last night he had the puck a few feet from the top of the crease and he decided to toe-drag the puck and never even got a shot off. He has stuff to learn at this level and playing 4th line minutes isn't helping him. |

To be fair though Malone hasn't done anything but stand in front of the net on the powerplay and serve penalties in the box. He is struggling to keep up with the pace. |

I've notice that a few times when he's had a chance to shot but didn't get it off fast enough . Overall I like his game he just has to make quicker decisions with the puck |

Rangers Report @rangersreport
Hartford (AHL) signed two D -- Bretton Stamler and Dallas Jackson -- to tryout contracts, to replace NYR callups. |

Malone unsure he'd be willing to report to Hartford if not claimed. Rangers might wiggle there way out of that contract too. |

I just think he plays through them. Tough for sure. Just worry about him ending up like these NFL guys as they hit 50 and brains just turn to mush. |

Hunwick has been a pleasant surprise. Excited to see what mcl and Allen will do. I think Malone being the odd man out is the right call. He brought nothing to the table IMO. Let Hayes stay up and develop with the big club, he hasn't hurt us yet and his vision/poise with the puck is something to be excited about. Especially while Stepan is out it doesn't make sense to send him down. |

That's also why Hayes is staying. AV, while not really wanting to, can use him in the middle. Not to mention he's the better skater compared to Malone. |
