I think the value is fair but there are going to be a TON of teams interested in acquiring his services. It's gonna be a bidding war and Carolina is gonna make us pay up even more considering we're in the same division. Virtually every playoff contender is in search for a guy like Sekera...Ducks, Bruins, Avs, Stars, Islanders, Flyers, Sharks, Caps.

I feel as though a team like the Ducks or the Stars would be willing to offer something like what Boychuk got the Bruins...two 2nd rounders and a 3rd. Probably even more considering his offensive upside and the fact that the Bruins were desperate and had no leverage due to their cap situation.

On the other hand, maybe Bodie, Allen and even McIlrath could provide enough to weather this storm. But 14 games in the next 27 days is going to be brutal with this situation.

14 games in 27 days but really our situation should be good within 4 games. Moore's suspension will be over and Klein will probably be healthy enough to play. Danny Boyle gets back around then too. After 4 games, assuming there are no other injuries, we'll be all healthy minus McDonagh who is obviously our most important player outside Hank but I think the defense will be good enough.

Bodie could be a short term answer to the powerplay struggles to. Guy puts up points.

Damn you're right. Man the lineup so far this season has been a mess...players out of position, lines changing seemingly every shift, powerplay sucks...we're lucky that Hank has been playing in mid-season form outside a couple games. He usually doesn't hit his stride until mid-to-late November. He's gonna have to carry us for a bit.
