To be fair, he's always terrible.
- Pecafan Fan

He's from my neck of the woods too.. I am going to go talk to his parents to see if they can help.. While I'm at it, I'll go see if Randy Jones can still skate in case another dman goes down.

How about some more offense, as in goals and assists.
- MJL

An ES goal in each of the past two games for them... IMO there's more there, too, if they stick with it.

Bellemare is as close to a perfect fit for Simmer/Schenn that they have right now... mitigates weaknesses, augments strengths.

Yeah, I don't know why Lauridsen keeps being brought up.
- SuperSchennBros

He's nothing more than an AHL defenseman. That being said, he has NHL experience, already has a two-way contract, and is on a contract that can be buried. I don't see the need to sign a walking piece of tin foil who sucks like Coliacovo to add to your contract slots and payroll when you've already got a player who sucks in Lauridsen.

when the disparity of "good" and "bad" calls was as great as it was last night, it seems strange to constantly focus on the one questionable call that could be justified.
- hogweed

All the calls have been discussed and beaten to death since last night. Yes, you clearly did miss these conversations.

While you're at it, check and see if Kim Johnsson and Eric Desjardins are free any time soon.

I'd be down for a 4th line of VDV-Vinny-Akeson while he gets his game fitness back.

Couldn't we just use him until COby and AmAC return and then waive him to the AHL?

Which one? The poor man's Grossmann or the Jaroslav Modry clone?

Rino, Vinny and Arty would be a nicer line. VDV mercifully to the popcorn room.

I want to make a 2Real argument, if I may

Ghost is a key to success.
They win with Ghost in the lineup.
They lose without him in the lineup.

Berube doesn't like to upset Vinny. They will bend over backwards to make him fit

Just want to say that I'm not a fan of the signing at all, even if it's a 2-way contract at league minimum. I'd rather have Manning/Lauridsen/Alt (when healthy) in the lineup.
- jmatchett383

I actually agree. I don't mind it as a depth signing but I would sooner see them keep Manning in for a bit. He has performed well when called up in a limited role.

I may be alone here, but I actually like the idea of PEB on the 4th line. He can always slide up if needed. He has good wheels, nice hands, and plays a nice two-way game. Granted, line proposed Schenn-VLC-Simmer line would need to outscore its deficiencies, but I like the idea of having some skill in addition to good two-way play on that bottom line.

And how many games before that where they didn't score at ES? Lecavalier is a better player, and a better fit to center the 2nd scoring line.

Collie's gonna need a week or so to get acclimated... bet Manning's playing at least until then, maybe beyond.

(btw, is there a more stupid nickname than Man Dog? They should just call him Peyton)

Manning was good last night and he's been good many times before going back to 2011-12 season. Lauridsen in my opinion was called up once during a season where not many players wereon the top of their games. Some didn't play during the lockout and the lack of a training camp I believe hurts anyone who doesn't participate in one. Lauridsen had his chance in what I call a lazy throw away season.

Oh. I don't think he should be used unless we're on option 11 or so. Right now, we're on option 9.
