Re Timonen, I think about that, but I really don't want to get my hopes up. He'd need to come back about Feb as you say because of getting in game shape. Having said that.. he's a warrior so you never know.
- Hextall271

If the Flyers were out of the race and he came back in mid-March even for a few last games, it would be nice. Would love to be able to give him a nice sendoff.

VdV should move to the LW when Vinny is back. He's now 2/15 on faceoffs.

G and PEB are the two best guys on the dot so far.

Flyers don't want a young player up as a 7th defenseman. That's what makes it neccessary right now, and they're right.

The Lauridsen ship has sailed. They don't want another non mobile stay at home defender with a lack of puck skills in the lineup. Who really isn't that good defensively.

- MJL

Yeah, I don't know why Lauridsen keeps being brought up.

Even the way Vandevelde is losing those faceoffs. Just slow to react as if we've asked a player completely foreign to the concept of winning a faceoff.

Right now probably, but when Lacavalier comes back, Bellemare will eventually go back to the 4th line.

Haha, I think that is a good thing. Both lines will get stronger as a result.

- MJL

I liked the Rinaldo, Bellemare and Akeson fourth line a lot.

Now that would be very nice even if he has to retire. I wonder if they'd allow him to dress as a 7th dman and not play?

Agreed. It wasn't a bad call. Bellemare was a little lazy getting off the ice. Raffl gained possession while Bellemare was still skating off.
- SuperSchennBros

and the blown off-side call didn't result in an advantage? horsepoop! missed that one, eh? missed giroux getting thrown to the ice 5 seconds after the horn in the second but have to whistle rinaldo for bumping into Lurch 1/2 second after the puck leaves. have to call G for the stick hold but not call the same exact play against them when they take l schenn for hooking! but it evens out, right? so we should be on here about the same number of times takling about how the flyers got away with murder and the other team was shorthanded 7 times? funny how i must miss all those games and discussions

L2 is finally turning a corner and has started playing consistent, puck-driving, beautiful hockey... sad to see it get blown up.

The blown offside goal happened so fast that nobody noticed it. Including none of us. Now we're up in arms because of a replay shown by the second intermission when the goal was long done and over with. The too many men wasn't nearly as quick. It was caught because Bellemare was slow yo leave the ice.

Because someone thinks one call was the right call, doesn't mean he thinks all of the calls were good calls.

when the disparity of "good" and "bad" calls was as great as it was last night, it seems strange to constantly focus on the one questionable call that could be justified.
