We really could have done with the wrist shot by Couts at the end of the 1st bouncing in off the post. That would have been a beauty.
- Feanor

Have the Flyers hit a ton of posts this season, or is it my imagination. It seems to me that the Flyers have been on the wrong side of puck luck all year. Everytime the opposition deflects a puck, it's in the Flyers net. When the Flyers deflect the puck, I hear Jim Jackson's call. "deflection that goes just wide!"

Rinaldo is actually playing really well this season and I think he deserves credit.
- SuperSchennBros

I had a boss that had a saying. If you take the kickoff in your own end zone, weave through traffic in an amazing return, but then fumble at the 5 yard line, no one is gonna remember the first 95 yards.

Yes, he has played pretty well on the 4th line. But these penalties have cost them games, and to some degree invalidated all the good he has done.

So what is your over/under for games played before injury sets in?
- 3flyerkids

My guess is he gets hurt on the plane ride to Philly.

Based on the past, I'd say it's unlikely Carlo reaches 30 days without injury
- PhillySportsGuy

I wouldn't have signed him. I wouldn't have done anything.

Trade schenn. Grossmann isn't as huge of a liability
- JoeRussomanno

Don't trade any of them. More injuries can happen and then the Flyers are in the same boat. Keep 8 defenseman until much later in the season, and see where they're at.

Maybe he got injured last night celebrating, like one of those D linemen who blows out a knee celebrating a sack

When a player plays a physical game, there is going to be some penalties involved. What has to be looked at with Rinaldo is what kind of penalties. He has kept his discipline this year. The call on the check on Boyle was horsecrap.

Actually, you convinced me. This would be the most prudent course of action.

It seems the defenseman market value is pretty high. So if things go south over the next 3 months it does give them some options later.

I guess Carlo Colaiacovo is a better option than Douglas Murray or Ryan Whitney. I guess this means Ghost is headed back to the AHL when Colaiacovo is ready to step in.

Never got that far. Sprained his wrist signing the contract. Immediately on IR.

I thought the Rinaldo penalty was weak. It was a two handed push at worst and really wasnt from behind. Also the hook on Luke Schenn was bad. I understand the call they made on Giroux but how many times is that really made. Not blaming the refs but thought sometogh calls.

That was sort of my point with Jake. He has hit a few. That will change eventually and his shooting percentage will climb a bit.

Just want to say that I'm not a fan of the signing at all, even if it's a 2-way contract at league minimum. I'd rather have Manning/Lauridsen/Alt (when healthy) in the lineup.

pumpkin pie

I would wait till everyone is healthy and then see what you have...competition is a good thing. On the flip, when everyone is healthy and you can make a deal, then so be it. But, Hexy is showing a lot more patience then Homer. FINALLY!!! This is something that Flyer fans are not used to, to some degree. Yes, it's win now but lets allow the "kids" some time to develop.

I would imagine that CC's deal is a two-way but nonetheless, the Flyers will have to put him on IR within a month, so it's a wash with his salary.

I try not to bring up the officiating but DARN, it was almost like they needed Tampa to win the game last night. Fishy calls!!!

There was a time where the Flyers over did it with the penalties and you couldn't blame the officials for the calls every single time. I think this is one exception.

It's the domino effect. Sign Colaiacovo. Trade Schenn Bros for E. Kane.
