Raffl fits in well with his linemates, kind of the way Tikanen used to fit so well with the much higher skilled Kurri and Gretzky. Now if only our 3 were as good as those three, LOL

He reminds me a bit of Knuble. They had totally different games, but they both seemed to get the best players play at their best.

Voracek has started the year with one of the best stretches of his career and Giroux is on pace for 107 points. Giroux is also firing 2 more shots on net per game this season. Once his shooting percentage balances out, he could get even better this season.

The only area they need to improve is defensively. That line has been on the ice for some major defensive snafus.

My best friend was a big time football player in high school. He'd scream like a girl when he saw a bug crawling in his house.

So, was just watching the replay of the Game 3 Crosby/Giroux fight. What pisses me off the most is the way Sullivan throws 2 sneaky gloved rights at Voracek, then refuses to drop the gloves with Jake when Jake drops his.

Pros: He has a twin brother, so if he is injured we can use his twin

Cons: They will probably have to use his twin brother a lot

I have no doubt my reaction would be exactly the same as Raffl's or Lappy's, but I would expect everyone around me to laugh hysterically at me

Not sure what you're seeing. He forechecks well, does the dirty work in the corners and he's putting pucks in the net. Plus Giroux and Voracek are racking up points playing with him.

on the Carlo signing

It is a good idea, I can see where Hexy is coming from.

Having the AHL guys in the line up puts extra pressure on the current D guys who without Coburn and Amac are already playing too many minutes and in spots they are not ideally suited for.

We see MDZ playing 26 and 23 minutes, not ideal. Schultz has really stepped up but not sure I want him getting PP time and 20+ min/game. Grossmann and Luke are pushing it too. Streit can handle it but it is a lot of pressure.

I think if CC can play it will help Beroob spread the minutes around better.

I would have been OK trying Manning but can see why he did it. Plus what if another guy gets hurt?

I am one of those people. I don't even care what people think of me by saying that -- I recognize they have a role to play in the ecosystem, but if it was up to me, I'd absolutely take a (frank)ing shot at seeing if the world could survive without any one of those sons of female doges on the planet.

Now, maybe that's just me.

he really skates well enough to keep up with Jake and G and seems to be getting more physical lately.

Last year when he was struggling a bit, you could see his strength was being a positionally smart player. He knew how to play without the puck and put himself in the right spots. A lot like Gagne in that respect.
