IPB. Just the amount of games played are wrong unless I'm missing something else? They've had 36 GA in ten games. They've had 35 GF btw. - Cptmjl
36/11 = 3.2727....not 3.6 |

i understand that...
but those are 2 things that should have tripped up whoever posted it.
1) 36/11 does not equal 3.6
2) they only played 10 games. - LetsGoIsles
Your post;
who said this?? so much wrong with this..
My post;
"IPB. Just the amount of games played are wrong unless I'm missing something else? They've had 36 GA in ten games. They've had 35 GF btw."
Why do i bother? |

Ur post about the coach is accurate but if & when Cappy gets canned, it will be either Weight or Cronin. Do u have faith in those 2 with them possibly keeping the same type of system? I'm just asking bc its hard to get an established coach in season and have that coach try to change/install his philosophy, if u get my point? - Ur Not Me
My thought is that they can't get worse. My other thought is that one of those other guys just might surprise you in terms of what he does to fix things- as I said, it's abundantly obvious that this system doesn't work, and if I'm a coach, and my job is to win hockey games, then I'm going to do what I need to do to win. The last thought is this: if Capuano is sh*tcanned, and replaced with one of his underlings, that is going to be an interim deal. These new guys may be learning some things from Wang, but I'm pretty sure that two guys who have that much money have their nostrils fully attuned to the smell of bullsh*t. Snow may have no choice but to hire someone who has at least somewhat of a track record, because if one of his guys produces more of the same, my guess is they'll ALL be gone this summer. |

Pretty incredible. Good post. The tweets in Dee's thread are also very telling. - Cptmjl
It's obvious what needs to be done, which is why I'm very worried that this sh*t show of a system is coming from above Capuano. |

I agree. These owners might have been blowing smoke at Wang during their press conference, but I doubt they sit quietly if the team is going south. |

agreed...i think he has the roadtrip...depending on how good/bad it goes, this may be it. - LetsGoIsles
The signs are on the proverbial wall. Fingers & toes crossed.
Cappy's only consistent trait is INCONSISTENCY.
That, and his belief that despite the loss "They played well."
His phone should have been ringing 5 seconds later with a screaming boss on the other end demanding he catch the next plane back to NY. |

What I don't understand also is why does he "trust" players that continually let him down while others are clearly outperforming them? The guy is trying to lose his job. Like a complete concerted effort to get fired. One of us couldn't coach this bad if we tried. He's that bad. - Cptmjl
He has the same misguided sense of loyalty as Garth does.
We need a pragmatic coach not afraid to get in players faces, regardless of salary, where they were picked in the draft or whatever other parameter you want to apply.
Short of JT & maybe Hamonic, few other players "leave it all out there" night in & night out.
Strait "watching" McLeod cruise past him in the slot to score the 1st goal should earn him a press box seat for SJ game. Hickey would be candidate #2 if we weren't on a road trip. Wouldn't be surprised to see Reinhart, Czuzman or Pulock soon after they get back home. |

Why would that be the case? Why do some always want to blame someone else besides the person directly responsible when it comes to this team? |

I've suspected the same all along. Cappy's a puppet. Garth doesn't like anyone questioning him in any way. Ask Nino. Ask Brendan Witt. |

So Snow is responsible for the coaching of the team and Wang is responsible for all GM responsibilities? Something that should be Snow's fault this thread blames Wang and now Capuano is Snow's puppet? Are you guys facking kidding me? How about the possibility that Capuano is just that bad a coach and Snow is a bad enough GM to endorse him? As crazy as that sounds that's whats happening! |

I get it we want Cappy gone, I'm in agreement but no matter the coach we won't be winning as many games as we lose with the goaltending we've been getting. It's early so I'm not overly worried but the fact of the matter is we are giving up 1-2 softies a night and thats not going to win many games.
Cappy has mismanaged them in my opinion and should be going with Halak although Johnson was 3-0 he is still a backup goalie at best and the record flattered his play.
He gave up a few weak ones last night to say the least starting with the 1st one and the 1st goal is always important especially on the road.
Capuano will be fired at some point this season and I would be fine with it but lets not mask the fact that our goalies thus far have not been the improvement over last year that we were hoping for. That needs to change quickly. |

Bad defense=bad goaltending
Half those weak goals wouldn't even have made it to the net with an average defense. |
