He just fractured his jaw eating a piece of candy corn.

He's just got to stay healthy for 28 days. He's just got to stay healthy for 28 days. He's just got to stay healthy for 28 days

I'm OK with the signing. There wasn't a ton out there and Carlo isn't a bad player.

That said, as I stated last night, I would have been fine with Manning and calling up a 7th guy when they hit the road.

Hextall is sticking with his guns regarding not rushing the kids. If by some miracle CC actually can stay healthy for like 40 games, I think he can help the team. It does worry me that is sounds like he hasn't been playing though.

I'm fine with the signing, too. Most of the serviceable guys still out on UFA have similar health issues (or unofficial brain injuries, hello Jamie McBain) so it was pretty much par for the course.

Just really thankful Whitney said no and it wasn't Doug Murray or someone of his ilk.

You have to really wonder when this guy can literally step in and play at NHL level.. A couple weeks?
I would have been happy with Manning IF he is not going to make a trade which now it seems like that would be a dream

There is no down side to the signing really. The only problem is I think he will be injured before Coburn/MacDonald return. So the Flyers will essentially be in the same boat they were in.

Yeah, when it was reported last night that they were close to adding somebody, a Sharks fan I talk to on twitter asked me if they were going to sign Crankshaft and I said, Jesus I hope not.

He may well end up keeping Manning up for a few weeks, until Colaiacovo is in game shape. They don;t expect Carlo to play before Thursday, at the earliest.

Not a great mix. They've been fairly competitive so far though. Given the schedule and the injuries, the record is better than I thought it would be.

totally agree..

Ill be honest, totally blown away by Schultz. He looks like that kid from Minny. Nothing like the pre-season (or the last two seasons for that).

His stats are ugly, but he's played pretty well. If you're going to be defending often, might as well have somebody decent at it.

Yeah.. I'd say a couple of weeks of practice would be needed unless he's really been playing somewhere. I'm ok with the signing, but he doesn't know the system other d men.. etc.

I wonder who we pair him with? I've really like Schultz the last while so, I'd be willing let him stay in the lineup after some of the guys get back..

I am loving how Jake is playing. He's taken it to the next level IMO.
- Hextall271

I'm actually starting to think having Jake play the I high point on thec PP is a waste. He's much nore dangerous downlow. The pass to Raffl in the dying moments of the game was Forsberg like.
