No. Its a reality. All you have to do is look at the highlights. Surely you have two eyes and arent biased in your opinion right??
- GOA88

Of course I have two eyes. In this case Emery has 4 wins against 4 quality opponents in cluding the Stanley Cup Champions and the best player in the league in Sidney Crosby to Mason's zero. My two eyes also saw Emery make a save while down, out and sitting on his ass. To say Emery isn't facing the quality of shots Mason has this season is like saying Emery's play is a mirage.

That's a decision for the AHL coach, not for me on Rox Hextall.

That's not answering the question. That's dodging it.

Brandon Manning had 8 goals last year in the AHL and I'm pretty sure Manning plays the point on the PP for the Phantoms.

I don't think he's Bobby Orr, but he's certainly not Hal Gill. Manning could probably spot play on the 2nd PP unit on the point and do just fine.

Even better. Even more a reason to probably sit Gostisbehere.

Emery's played better to date, no doubt. I'd argue that the team had also played marginally better defense in those games. Still, 9 games in, Emery has played better than Mason.

The answer is that no, I don't think he's go to the AHL and site. But that's not for me to decide. Now answer me:

Who decides whether or not Ghost is in the lineup in the AHL?
Who decides whether or not Ghost is in the lineup in the NHL?

Even more of a reason to send Ghost down and put him in a position where he's more likely to play than to sit.

No argument from me. It's not like I'm screening hand the starting job to Emery but give the guy credit when it's due.

I think we might be reading too much into Manning's presence.

I think he's there just in case someone gets hurt tonight, so they have someone on hand for Saturday's game.

The coach will decide who plays on what team. But the reality is that there is a possibility that Gostisbehere could be a healthy scratch while on the NHL roster, which isn't a good situation for the player. While sending him back down the AHL, the reality is that he will be in the lineup every game unless he's injured, and will be playing high minutes.

The problem is Gostisbehere is only getting spot duty and when he does play at even strength, he has struggled in his own zone with limited chances he's getting.

I really don't think anyone, including myself, will dispute that Emery has played better. I don't think Mason's played poorly, and I do think that he's had a bit more bad luck than Emery. But hey, it's working, so no reason to change it now.

So the GM decides whether or not he is in the AHL lineup? Cool, didn't know that.
