Hey I like you two.

I'm not here for the pissing match. I just don't think it looks like a hit to the chest, at all.

Scott Stevens like Denis Potvin before him, were mean, tough defensemen who always played the game like the hated the opponent every night. Their careers are filled with questionable hits that in todays game would earn them a seat in the press box numerous times. However, they also the very type of Dman every team wishes, or least they should, have on their squad every night.

I don't get the comparisons to players 25 years ago to justify what is considered a dirty hit today? The game has evolved into what it is today for better or worse depending on who you talk too. What does Potivn or Stevens hits have to do with what Kreider or Moore did the other night? It's a different game with different rules which every player is aware of at this point along with fan. I honestly could care less and think the game has evolved into figure skating but by saying Potvin and Stevens did it does it somehow justify what Moore did?

Oldschool wasnt trying to justify what Moore did. He was just saying that these defensemen that play physical and with an edge are defensemen in that every team in the league wants.

Not in todays NHL they don't. Unless they want a player that's sitting out and suspended along with giving their team a bad name ala Cooke. I'm not saying I like it but that's the way it is in todays NHL.

I look at a guy like Bieksa or Phaneuf or Lucic if he were a defenseman as a modern day Stevens that plays within todays rules. I'd love a guy like that.

Phaneuf steps outside the lines a bit IMO. I like Phaneuf but I don't like so much when he turtles. Guy is a giant pu$$y if you ask me. If you're going to play that game you need to back it up. With that said before we got Boychuck(which I didn't think we had a shot in hell with)I wanted Phaneuf

Phaneuf is a fake tough guy who hides behind all his equipment. The biggest shoulder pads and visor in the league.

I wonder if there is any chance we could get Brady Skjei signed and on the team early April once his college season is over like we got Kreider a few years ago.

3 years is enough, lets move onto your hockey career kid

Kid just wanted to party and bang college puck bunnies for 1 last year. He'll be here soon enough.
