Hockey is hockey! Trust me, I know. I love college hockey! Most AHL teams have 5-6 solid young prospects and than a bunch of MFE skating around.

Its weird. We got Scott because of that Lucic-Miller thing. But if we had a team that would have immediately jumped Lucic in the first place, we would have never needed him. I hope the Sabres never ice a team that soft again. Theres got to be someone on the ice who has integrity every shift so that when stuff like that happens, they do something about it. You dont have to knock the guy out,mbut a team has to send a message after a play like that.

I'd say send him back to Jr., let him play in the World's against the best his age and maybe he'll get traded at the deadline to a playoff contender. That's in preference to playing on a poor NHL Team this year and will give him a year to mature.

The AHL game seems to be faster. This is probably because all the teams work on the "system" that the NHL team employs, and that there is much less actual "gameplanning" that goes on in the minors. It's all about development whereas in the NHL, you simply pull out all the stops in order to try to win. Often times, those "stops" include slowing down the game, even if it's to a snail's pace.
