No, I never felt Stevens had much impact. If he did, this team wouldn't be so soft and the defense wouldn't constantly be out of position.

There's nothing to suggest (as far as on ice product) that he had any kind of substantial impact.

Yes

I missed this game (no travesty there), just caught the highlights, what a nightmare. Night(frank)ingmare. I am stuck in Miami until Sunday running a booth at a trade show so can't even watch on a stream. I will miss the next two also. I missed the first 7-8 games last year when I was on Vacation. I am certain this is my fault.

I just can't believe that they couldn't buy a goal last year and now they are getting some pucks in, but suddenly can't defend worth a damn. If they can maintain offensive pressure and re-kindle some if their usual defensive prowess they will be okay. I just hope that this ship is righted before it sinks.

Agree. We've lost a good amount recently but the season has barely started. The PK has been tops in the league since DeBoer has been here, gotta think the team will figure out whats wrong.

Hint: What's wrong is the personnel decisions. Rarely do you hear criticism of Petes game plan. But his line choices, scratches and line combos are things he takes a lot of heat from fans on, and rightfully so.

Shorthanded Time On Ice- Salvador 44:41, Gionta 26:27. Newsflash for Pete- Salvador is old, slow and easily burnt on the PK and Gionta is by no stretch of the imagination John Madden.

Seriously how has Steven Gionta played more PK minutes then Zajac, Henrique or Elias who are clearly our best two way forwards?

His game plan is sound. His personnel decisions are atrocious, it needs to cost him his job at some point.
