That was a brutal injury. So unnecessary. Those games were meaningless. Ironic KD pulled out of that tourney and ended up injured anyway.

How good is this Anthony Davis? Did you see his stat line last night? What a stud. Only question with him is can he stay healthy?

Just checked the box score. Holy poop
26pts 17rbs 9blks 3stl 2asts and no turnovers in only 36 minutes.

I think Ghost has to be playing. But I think they may send him down and call up Lauridsen and choose one of Lauridsen/Manning as the 6D and rotate if needed.
- jmatchett383

Ghost is getting his taste. When he goes back to the Phantoms he will have a much clearer picture on what he needs to work on. He is the kind of kid who WILL work on it.

This call up could be the best thing that has ever happened to him.

Absolute monster. It's scary how good he is. He's added muscle, but I'm not sure he can hold up over an 82 game schedule.

It could be. He's getting some on-the-job experience. But I think it's pretty clear that, if/when the defense gets some bodies back, he's not a top-6 option.

NO, and I think Hextall knew this from the start. He needs to get a little stronger. But now he understands why....even if he did before in theory, he now understands the practical reasons for it.

He knows he can skate in the NHL, but now he knows that every one else can as well.

Maybe now he should call up Hagg or one of the other kids and give them a taste of what they need to do.

I don't think Hagg could do as well, honestly. Ghost can more or less survive because he's an above-average skater and knows what to do with the puck. Not so sure Hagg could do much more than be a passenger right now.

Like you said, Ghost has seen first-hand what he needs to work on and can now go do it. But, to me, Hagg can't really even offer what Ghost could, and would be a pretty big liability out there.

He's a freak. 7ft tall with enormous arm length and athleticism. He's just a terror on defense and his offense is catching up. Highly skilled offensively, but still learning the nuances of the game.

He has HOF potential if he can stay healthy. That's really been the only thing standing in his way.

He embraces his unibrow as well.

Does he have a right cross that could rival Jermaine O'Neal?

Grossmann has been solid for the most part. Schultz has been a pleasant surprise. Only question is can he maintain it? He was signed to be the 7th dman, can he really play 70+ games?
- PLindbergh31

Poor Schultz, signed to rake in his money and sit in the pressbox and watch hockey. Now he has to play! Almost enough to make you feel bad for him.

And everyone knows I'm a huge Grossmann supporter.

Brett is on an AHL contract and moves between AHL and ECHL as Flyers recall players from the Phantoms. I will ask him if he's related to Ms Fleming.

haha, good eye. I think it did in the AHL one, but I couldn't find a picture of the whole thing. It goes on much longer, both before and after that clip.

Well I guess it would depend on what more it would require.
A basis.. IMO Laughton and Schenn can play a similar game, and if it meant adding legit blueline help and Laughton in place of Schenn, the team could better off

- 3flyerkids

They aren't similar players. One player, Laughton, is a defensive checking center with some offensive upside. The other, Schenn is a scoring line player who is currently playing the Wing. Laughton isn't likely going to play LW on the first or second line.

Good Lord, I can't wait til the Flyers play Buffalo. Toronto's swiss cheese defense held the Sabres to 10 shots last night. Our boys should be able to hold them to... 11? 12?
