His existence here is disheartening. I know this is his swan song and he's the hometown boy and all but I want to know, what gives?

Because we spent 6 years developing him. It only makes sense that we would trade him before any of that pays off.

In Nolan's interview yesterday morning, he said the rumors about Myers being shopped are just that, rumors. If he was being shopped, Murray would have discussed it with him and he hasn't.

I agree. I don't think they should trade him at all.

Then we will be below the cap floor and upset with the guys we acquire to fill the cap space. Everyone should just calm down and tank on. I'm perfectly happy with this atrocious year, this is what I hoped for. If games were closer that means we would be that much closer to winning games and scerwing the rebuild completely. I say repeat October in November then show some progression.

Looking at the box score from yesterday, I'm even more aggravated. Why does Gionta get PP time, but Girgensons doesn't? That just baffles me. Let's see, Girgensons has actually scored for this pathetic team this year and Gionta hasn't. But let's put Gionta out there on the PP and glue Girgensons to the bench.

I know you're focusing on the PP, but did you notice the part of the box score that shows Girgensons got almost two more minutes TOI than Gionta?

I said he was glued to the bench during the PP. That was what my rant was about. The PP TOI, in which his number on the box score is a big fat 0. Maybe if they put him out there and let him crash the net, they might actually get a PP goal. It's quite the concept, I know.

However, if you want to be nitpicky about it, Z had less 5 on 5 time as well, since 4 minutes of the 17 he got were while they were shorthanded.

I would imagine time on the PK is probably an indication of greater trust from the coach than time on the 5 on 5.

And I know its more tiring.
